I was hoping the final product would fix some of the problems such as the sleeves on the MMPRs and the way the mid torso joint ruins the chest design on the males. They didn't.

I snagged the SDCC red ranger yesterday. Seems pretty cool from inside the box. Not sure if I'm gonna open him or flip him. Its a little lame that you have to buy a second red ranger for the Megazord torso peice. Not sure what I'm gonna do there of i decide to collect the MMPR team.

I don't leave shit in the box unless I plan on flipping it. The SDCC red ranger comes with the Megazords power sword. The retail red ranger has the Megazord torso peice. If I want to complete it I'll need to get the retail red ranger as well.

Ain't spending $80+ for each ranger. I picked up The Green and White Ranger before they sky rocketed in price. I don't mind paying $20 for these. I enjoy handling my figures without worrying I'm going to snap a joint.

figuarts are extremely durable. Or at least the one's i've owned are. I've had a few survive some high falls with no damage or a leg popping off. nothing that couldnt be solved by just popping it back into place.

What the fuck was Bandai thinking? If the build a figure were a villain I'd be more forgiving since it would actually contribute something to to the line, but what good is having a 6.5 inch scale Megazord to go with your 6.5 inch Rangers? What good are super poseable Rangers when they have almost no weapons to pose with and no villains to fight? They should have just stuck with the 5 inch line which was at least compatible with tons of old monsters/accessories/vehicles. Especially if Ninja Steel is going to continue the main line 5 inch figures and monsters.

I've got the SDCC red ranger. Asking prices on eBay don't make me think it's worth selling so i opened mine. Articulation is pretty good. The foot joints are actually really well done and allow for a good range of motion. The lack of thigh swivle is odd but the feet make up for it. The one thing I was surprised that was lacking was the lack of a waste swivel. Not sure what Bandai was thinking there. Now while the articulation is good his joints are loose as fuck. The only tight one is his right foot for some reason. This makes it difficult to get him in a dynamic pose and to stay standing. I settled on letting him lean against the shelf to resolve that. I don't know if it was just mine like that or if they'll all be loose fucks. The plastic is pretty legit though, not gummy at all. The Figuarts are better. More screen accurate and probably a bit better quality. These, while being a step in the right direction for actual collecting still almost feel like childrens toys. Overall I'd give it a 6-7/10. Probably won't complete the MMPR team, if anything I'll just get Green and have him and Red fight.

I guess that counts. Seemed more like a ball joint to me when I was messing with it last night. Also it does have a waste swivel. Mine was stuck and applying some force got it to move. My mistake. Here he is next to Figma Link. A little larger so they're more in line with Marvel Selects in terms of scale.

Say anon is yours also a floppy mess like mine? Only a few joints are tight.

I think the new suits are alright. I'm actually kind of a fan of the simpler coloration (although I miss the original diamond patterns) and I like how generic they look, odd as that sounds.

I do wish they were less robo-suit. Supposedly the idea was these are alien suits, they should look alien, but they look more futuristic/cyborg to me. I would've like if they had gone something more organic like a Guyver suit or something, or full on weird like Psycho Rangers.

I also wish someone would make some Psycho Rangers figures. That'd be cool.

No, I've put a lot of posing time into my figuarts collection while photographing them. Zero breaks so far. Breakage rate for my NECA figures is much higher.
