>>5819400This piece of shit is both the greatest amount of money I've spent on a figure, and the cause of the most profound buyer's remorse I've ever experienced in my twenty seven years on this gay earth. Don't get me wrong, I've spent far more on "toys" - my most expensive BJD was £1000+ vs the ~£120 or so I paid for Link - and I guess that kind of compounded my disappointment, i.e. BJDs gave me unrealistic expectations for toys at these higher price points.
I remember when he started shipping and people first commented on how SNAD the tunic was, I thought I could get over that. When he finally arrived I suspected I'd been saddled with absolute garbage and should've flipped him there and then, but nah, I tried to make the best of a bad situation, and also I'm a Skyward-Sword loving heretical fuck. Like literally everyone else I broke the bow, except in my case it wasn't through trying to force the hand on; "why would they ship out such a stupid design?", I thought, naively, "the bow obviously has a seam here where it comes apart." Did it fuck. To this day it's the only toy I've ever broken. Except no, I tell a lie - I displayed him holding the beetle, a few weeks later I find the main part of it lying next to him, turns out the plastic bits that fit on his arm couldn't support its weight.
He's been boxed away ever since. I've always intended to fix the broken bits but I just get angry every time I see the box and think about what else I could've done with that £120. First and last RAH I'll ever buy. I heard they had the license for Breath of the Wild as well. Fuck that shit
As far as toys in that price range go, I'm sticking with Disney dolls.
