After seeing the reveal of bat prime I decided to get another skull cruncher, titan returns is official in Australia, so on the same day I picked up my scullcruncher from the post office I got the hasbro version as well.
As you can see hasbro has...surprise surprise, failed, granted they're made in the same factories and stuff about takara being indirectly in control of the quality control but the result doesn't help shake my feelings on hasbro.
So for a start, the legs are floppy, I thought I was just rough getting him out of the package seeing how his legs came off when they got snagged on a loose wrap string, but they can't lean or much other than pose, thankfully being a custom piece I do plan to fix that later by gumming up the joints.
But paint qc, mostly the same but in places the hasbro has just too much (I find the hasbro head paint too gummy compared to takara's personally) and then the tampo's for the g1 stickers has suffered, dunno what caused that but one side looks like shit.
But here is the real kicker and what an anon TRIED IN VAIN to warn us about, see how the hasbro one's head is on the floor but he has that ball joint sticking out of the neck socket?
Guess what?
>the head was forced in sideways
Those morons at the factory forcefully rammed the head into the socket, gonna take a bit of wrangling to get that out.
Perhaps takara thought about this, and thus why they kept the head separate to prevent this stuff, overall unless they have more hasbro only deluxes I'll be buying takara only (for the titan masters I'll buy only if I don't get the takara legends partner it comes with, so far only bought crashbash, leaders are takara only for deco and voyagers either way if its good enough)
I will say this, looking at both hasbro and takara hardhead side by side, I say either is good, I didn't buy it though because I have no need for his body, I just wanted a skullcruncher body to double as a megatron
>TLDR hasbro failed now headless skullcruncher
