But what makes a Mezco one:12 scale figure so expensive is because it's a doll and stitching dollie clothes together is pretty expensive compared to just molding it on, especially when it's higher quality than your typical Barbieshit. So it's an extra complex step when it comes to producing this figure.
Also, that metal they're using for the spear is basically an epoxy resin, which is costly and involves more work than simple casting. It's basically an overpriced paperweight replica you see out there. It's a cold casting production that you see with most statueshit out there.
As for the metal armor, it's likely just a higher quality metal than diecast crap and that involves higher temperatures, so even the production method is more expensive.
So Mezco is giving you your money's worth with their figures and the cost of production correlates with their pricing.
