>>5884090The name of the artist is Ezra Tucker. I actually e-mailed him and thanked him because that piece of box art made me want to become a professional illustrator as a kid( and I did!). It almost had a religious impact on me. I remember vividly the first time seeing it in a toy store in France. I'm from Sweden and we went there with the family on a summer trip. The second series hadn't come out yet in swedish stores (and being a young kid before internet was a thing I had no way of knowing there was going to be one at all) so when I visited the local toy store and saw the stacked rows of series two Dino Riders toys you can imagine what a incredible experience that was. When I saw the new box art I was totally floored.
Anyway, Ezra responded very kindly to my e-mail and told me a bit about what went into making the piece. I asked him if he knew anything about the whereabouts of the original and he didn't know but took a guess that's it hanging somewhere in the headquarters of Mattel (who merged with Tyco Toys). I tried to contact them because I desperately want to buy the original but never got a response, haha.
