Thrilling 30 stuff on shelves this year.

Also props to whichever Anon(s) recommended the silver sharpies for a little bit of detailing. The shit totally matches the silver on Sentinel that they only put on one set of wheels, and it looked so good I did it on Astrotrain too, who completely lacks any paint on his wheels normally.

There is a lot of speculation that the blockbuster bubble will burst next year, there is an insane number of big hollywood movies coming out around at the same time, they're literally isn't enough consumers to share. Transformers should double down on the kids market in my opinion, it still has the most potential to sell toys to young boys.

I got him at BBTS.

And I'm only doing sharpie stuff on things that won't really be touched. Wheels, mainly. Still, the Anon's who thought of this are pretty smart. Look how good this looks, took a whole 5min per figure to do, and I'm sure any touchup will be easy enough if it wears off due to misplaced fingers.

This just in:

The TR Weirdwolf is easily the heaviest most plastic filled non-hollow well made and well engineered deluxes to come out in literally YEARS. The only shit thing is he has no wrist articulation, other than that he is fanfuckingtastic. Mindwipe is also really good, save for the rubber bits which may or may not shit out (hopefully not, they aren't on tight joints at all).

Chromedome is.... well let's just say I'm glad I only paid $14.97 for him... He leaves a lot to be desired.

Highbrow is pretty average for a toy.

my problem with chrome dome is how light he feels in comparison to the rest of them. also all the red plastic on him feels.... off in some way. Idk what it is, but it feels weird compared to the other colored plastics. His arms are also very unsightly compared to other deluxe figures in the line.

As for the actual cost specifics no idea, though they would use glitter/metallic injected plastic because its cheaper than actual paint, can't get good metallic looks without the swirls it seems, even bandai knows this

I just had the best idea for how to pull of TR Metroplex and Trypticon. The both come with a Titanmaster that can be used on other figures, but they also come with a unique version of that vehicle1/vehicle2/gun thing you get with the smaller titan master sets, this thing turns into a small vehicle for use in Building mode, a gun emplacement in ship mode and part of the head in robot mode.

It's a slight step down from TR Fort Max, but then again Metro and Trypticon are probably both smaller than Fort Max

I think the tricky part of TR Metroplex is gonna be his face. TR Trypticon would be simpler in the face department mainly because his Titanmaster would become the lower jaw of his head in Dino mode and you're probably only going to use the face if you want him as the head of somecon who isn't Trypticon.

My old Fire Convoy had 1 split tire that I fixed with super glue and it's had to withstand 15 years of desert summer heat. If anything, it's the plastic that's more easily affected than the rubber, I've had to sand down joints because the plastic expanded over time and they couldn't move like they used to.

The only rubber I've had break down is BH Shockwave's left tread, I think that's because it has several heavy 90+ degree bends and also gets pulled tightly in vehicle mode. My Ripclaw doesn't have any damage at all even though I keep the tail in it's wound up position all the time.

Yeah rubber treads typically have much shorter life spans than rubber wheels or rubber detailing because of how often they're twisted around and such.

Ripclaw's tail is probably fine because it's just kept more or less in one position all the time. If it were loosened and pulled on and twisted around constantly it'd be much worse off I imagine.

I kinda see it as the quintessential BW design; a reworking of a classic mecha motif(beast head chest) but don differently. Its like he's Gaigar's cousin.

Cheetor seems more important to HasTak than the fans. They kept giving him new toys and made him the headliner on BM. meanwhile, the BW writers seemed to hate him and basically had him do nothing for 26 episodes from the middle of S1 until the middle of S3. Hasbro gave his Transmetal form a "heart" that was going to glow on the show whenever he did good deeds, but the writers ignored this. Dinobot got better episodes and his toy was discontinued when season 2 was out.

but still, his design has a lot of redeco/remold potential, and that probably means a lot to Takara over popularity. That's why we got Sideswipe before Jazz.

Haven't combined him yet but everything feels pretty damn nice so far. Strafe is a cool mold, same with the retooling of Nosecone. People have also bitched about Lightspeed's head but I think it looks fine- like it's stylized.

My only issue is how damn thin the wings on Scattershot are. Might be able to take pics whenever I get back home.

I have to admit that the limitations of the retail Generations line is much more conducive to replicating the post-'86 characters than they are the 84 bots. These just look and feel great. Although I have to wonder if it's just all the compromise and retooling of Combiner Wars that makes these look good. It's been a long time since we've had a deluxe figure with the MO of simply being a good, stand-alone figure.

I think people are rightfully unhappy about the flat chest but it it's only bad if you look him straight from the side.

Just as literally everyone else says though he just looks great and poses well

My only honest to god complaint about the figure personally are the holes in his hands and the screws on his forearms. The screws could have been hidden better or at least painted and the hands just comes off as looking cheap relative to the quality of the rest of the figure. Even though there's a lot going on in his wrist parts but I don't think it would have been impossible if the swivel were constructed the other way around: where the disc would be on the hands which would then be closed down on by the wrist parts if you get what I mean. But I'll admit that that's a pretty nitpicky complaint.

He's just good. If you're hesitant I'd take the plunge anyway.

The chrome isn't an issue, just what Takara uses nowadays. MP Soundwave also had an issue with chrome.

There's still many toys even from the 80s that have its chrome in tact, assuming they were taken care of.

First of all my table isn't that dirty, that is the shitty walmart table being shitty and starting to decay on the spots where I used to put drinks on while playing mmos. I don't keep a lot of stuff on my small ass 36 inch wide table. I don't even have space to put a small figure on my desk. I'm a minimalist on what I put on my computer desk so its only the essentials.

I don't really have a display for my Transformers so I usually just put them back in their packaging and shove them in my closet or my basement shelve after a few weeks of playing/posing them on a smaller table behind me. I originally collected Sentai mechs so those are still mostly prominently displayed on my small display space in my room.

A buddy is giving me a proper display shelves soon though so I would be able to pull out the important Transformers I want so I would be able to pose and shelve them on rotation.

So the crew use holomatter avatars to go and sight-see, the same avatars the Decepticons used in the first Bay movie to make it look like they had drivers. One of the crew made it so that the holomatter avatars would automatically translate a Transformer's personality into a human form. Sometimes the avatar is not the same gender as the Transformer. For example, here is Cyclonus and his holomatter avatar.

A while ago I saw a picture of a black/grey Crashbash mold with Hardhead's titan master in it, making it a green accented dino. I can't find that deco of that mold anywhere. Was it a custom, or have I missed something?

I personally am an MP only collector and I also narrow it down to Season 1 pilot characters, so no season 2 reinforcements. Still need a Takara Trailbreaker, Mirage, Sunstreaker and Hound to complete the regular sized cars.

The one exception might be the coneheads though....

I mean I know there's an element of "git gud" but when the easiest difficulty setting is still stupidly hard it's just kinda dumb. And some of the sections are just plain cheap (see: fight with Ancient Kickback, that FUCKING top-down section, Blitzwing etc).

Different anon but, I played a bunch of character based action games and the amount of finesse you had to have playing Devastation is almost on the same level as Dark Souls on the account that you actually need a good sense in timing even while playing easy mode.

Only the first Devil May Cry was actually challenging since the camera angles on it was not that good. 2 was a joke, 3 and 4 had amazing gameplay and I actually played them so much and in hard and the very hard mode and I still find them somewhat easy to handle. Bayonetta 1 and 2, I didn't play but my sister has those games and she said it's control wise it is as hard as dmc 4.

DmC is also a joke button masher.

Theres not a single TR Deluxe I wouldn't recommend other than Hasbro Blur/Scourge, and only because the Takara versions blow them out of the water in terms of colors.

So yeah Mindwipe by himself is totally worth it. His bat mode definitely isn't garbage either, you can have a lot of flexability with the wings due to the hinges and the fact they've got up/down and side motions due to having the leg articulation to mess with as well.

The cause of the problem is nothing blocks the tiny TM head from tilting forward/back. So if you just put something small in front and behind the open TM connector, it should solve it.
