how he came to work for dr.x is explained earlier in the comic story,
dr.x finds this guy(X), and injects him with a stolen super serum( the intention that X will be the general of a serum powered army,)
only X gets the serum and not long afterward a.m (in his bungee extreme gear) retrieves the serum, only to be cornered by X who state the info from the beginning of the post
a.m and X fight, this leads to a.m being hurled into the base of a stack of canisters, which collapses, one of said canisters splits open showering prof. gangrene in a mix of chemicals which freezes him solid,
dr.x and X escape and a.m hands gangrene over to the authorities who put him in secure holdings,
