Most people seem to consider them to be statueshit, hipster garbage, and monotonous and lifeless crap. The think they either fail to capture the look of the characters they're meant to be or ruin them all together. They think they're like the beanie babies of the 2010.

I personally don't have a problem with them. Most actually look quite good. Granted they're still technically statueshit but they pass, especially the more recent lines where they've put a lot more detail and variation into the bodies.

Having just rewatched Little Shop Of Horrors with the family a few nights back, I've gotta say that I'd be all over an Audrey II POP! or Mystery Mini. Watching that movie inspired me to draw for the first time in quite a while.

They sent me some kind of survey email to ask about my experience with their products, I guess from when I'd previously entered one of their drawings or something. I made a point of using every "give your thoughts here" space to say that they've lost my business on several occasions for the poor QC on certain figures that I'd totally buy otherwise and that they should try to step up their game in that department.

They were going to include Norman Bates and Carrie, but had issues with licensing. There were also sketches of Zuul and a Masked Alex which he didn't comment on. Maybe there are more exclusives coming our way?

Stuff like this, though I'm seeing more and more with plastic hair these days. Just a small figure with a handful of accessories and/or furniture - that's what those remind me of. Damn!! I usually avoid pops but lately the releases like Labrynth and Clockwork Orange got me to buy some. Found out about the chase Alex that's easy to find at Hot Topic but they let people weigh the boxes and buy them all. First store I feel one that's pushed out and go to buy it, the lady asks me what one I was after and she said not to bother, he got 5 from that store and hit the 4 others within and hour drive.

I don't know these work, is that their only shipment? The manager wasn't sure if they get more. Some exclusives they did.

I just got back from Funko Fright Night, it was really shitty compared to Fundays. Nowhere near worth the 133 entry ticket. All the exclusives handed out were extremely large runs, like 1500-3300. Only 400 people were invited, so its obvious everything will be available later. But yeah, at least I found out I have no desire to go if they do it next year. Fundays is the good event, you get stuff that can easily profit a grand.

If you work retail it hell, you spend the few weeks up to it running your ass off trying to get it set up, all while you are fighting customers. You never get the chance to participate, people will beat each other (not fucking joking watched a guy get punched four times over a fucking crockpot), threaten to get you fired, shout at you, and finally you usually have to work the night before and come in at 2. Its a fucking holiday, they pay those guys shit, they recently cut holiday pay at walmart, and all you want to do is spend it with your family but you chose to go in for one of those fancy engineering degrees and cant get a job since every baby boomer in your home town is going to die in their positions before they quit, and you need to feed the family so you take the only job in town which is Walmart if you live in a small town.

It gave me a fucking ulcer, I used to work with special needs children before going back to school, AND FUCKING WALMART GAVE ME A ULCER.
