Wow, we know how ugly he is but I thought it would take months to sell his gaudy ass, I taken a loss but postage locally was surprisingly good.

All up charged $113, take a small his because free shipping, should I of charged more, or did I make the right call just to get rid of him?

If no, you did good. I wouldn't even say that the original purchase of GOAT was that bad of an idea. You got to mess with the molds for a decent amount of time, and the experience informed your decision to get the reissue.

No to all, I do admit I never opened him, but I already had a fair idea of how things worked, my plan was to open display him in a safe environment...right now it would not be ideal (mp wheeljack and starscream are fine but painted and mostly clear plastic toys are kept in storage).

I honestly bought him because I liked soundwave, and this was the most comprehensive set I could get at the time, for only a little bit more I get him in solid colors and plastic with a little diecast tape to mess with.

They're releasing them under Legends, packaged with the Titan Master single heads.

I believe Laserwave & Cancer have just been released, and we have Rewind coming with Nightbeat (not Minerva), Condor coming with Apeface, etc.

No biggie, I just didn't want him sitting around for months, they can put him in a furnace for all I care though I'll miss his...

No wait I won't miss the clear, I got 15 gundam models all in clear+glitter injected plastic and won a cheap sdcc sentinel prime in the mean time, if he had color I may of kept that soundwave but just clear plastic kinda bored me.

Depends where they are sold, tru australia is selling them for $10aud, I can get them at a discount of $8.55aud.

Considering I can pay $9 more for a more fuller figure...while its still a throw away purchase its barely better than the rid weaponizer minicons (which are $8aud at cheapest).

But I'm fucked getting hasbro or takara so I resolved myself to getting doubles of some (getting takara wheelie and gonna touch up the hasbro loudmouth while I'm buying 2 hasbro nightbeats to create a minerva in drag)

Any known qc issues with tr blaster?

I was initially going with the takara version (since I prefer that dark grey over the glitterly pale grey hasbro used) but noy only can I get him much cheaper but its quite clear hasbro designed him (g1 toy visor) and takara only redeco'd him, so far not one image without the helment to perhaps save him (even an all white face with a silver top on just the head won't save it).

But I still would like to know if here is any wide spread qc issues, I can tolerate the glitterly legs but anything major and its back to takara I go.

...also on that note, anyone here own the hasbro leader power master optimus prime with the intent of getting super ginrai as well?

There is a sale happening where I am and debating on getting 2 drastically different molds

Blaster is one of the few TR molds that have 0 QC issues. Hardhead has several cases of a floppy head port, Skull obviously has his floppy legs, and Scourge has the floppy headport too. Blaster has (despite me not liking the figure) recieved unanimous praise. If you really want it, go for it

By your definition, Cliffjumper barely has any "proper figures". 90% of the time, he's never retooled from Bumblebee. and considering the only thing that really makes him different from Bee is his head (and even then, only barely) it's no wonder that Hasbro never bothers to do it "properly".

Basically, the inside of him, the white part, the tabs "catch" on the corners of the yellow part you pull him out of. This stresses the long stalks the tabs rest on. You sand the corners of the tabs and the slot you put them into, so they don't catch on each other and stress.

Of the three Titans return molds is what I meant, meaning the parts they share originate from Chromedome rather than Blurr.

I feel like Flywheels, Apeface and Nightbeat are just the Titan Master figures we already know, and they're not getting anything new. Battletrap and Snaldragon will probably be Headmasters. CW Dead End's lower torso transformation was taken to be used on Blurr and Chromedome. Only difference with Blurr is that there's no waist rotation.

my TR Galvatron's head can't lock in, just easily slides right back out. I took a look at the socket, this side of the clamp has no actual length to it, so it doesn't grip anything

In the end, for me, Wolfwire is the legit best deluxe figure for wave 2.
But then again all of the wave 2 deluxe figures are great, maybe except Chromedome, but that's just me being heterosexual I guess.
I know I should not be too happy for NO major QC issues since that's how it's supposed to be anyways but damn it feels so good having a working toy like in the 90's for once.

For whatever reason I happened to watch a video (from a certain austimo I'd rather not name) of the reprolabel upgrade kit for mp hot rod, and it got me thinking: is there any place you would be able to get clear rubberized tape that you could use to rap around plastic wheels or apply underneath plastic feet to make them grip onto surfaces better?

Something like 2mm tape, only just a clear rubber strip instead of ungodly sticky black goo.

A bigass roll of something like that would be so useful for improving wheel grip and pose stability of my transformers.

If the plastic is already clean overall but you want to decal surfaces pristine, I just wipe it with a cotton ball that's very slightly soaked in rubbing alcohol and let it dry. This sucks but what's fucked about this is that all the promotional images from takara that I see on the instructions and box that show him in his gun form form all use smaller, customized decals that fit as intended without covering anything they shouldn't, so they knew this was a problem.
I can't get a good enough picture of the pictures on the box or find any on the internet but you can kind of see the same custom decals in this image. The ones that come with Shockwave are rounded but the ones here (and on the box) are squared and smaller.

having an MP that not only needs decals applied but also has fucking decals that don't fit is stupid as hell.

I should really stop being a sperg about my latest autismo by now, I don't like blogposting.

Has anyone ever managed to open apart the handgun version of shockwave?

I don't like the look of the braid so I was thinking I could take it apart and replace it with a black wire that would look more solid and sturdy.
I can split it with a spudger most of the way but the grey "muzzle" will not come apart whatsoever and I think they might have used a solvent to glue it into one piece.

I don't want to break it but I can't find anything about people having done this before.

I don't have them to compare but I've seen Quakeblast and the original G1 toy in person and the intense dark purple is just offputting.

I could definitely be a shade darker but I could barely even call it a flaw on the figure.

I really like the darker, rich purple. It's hard to photograph though. Dunno why MP Shocky is so pastel colored.

People have tried.

The last time people tried to stand-up to the Communist Party and said enough was enough, they sent in the tanks to squash people. Since then they basically turned oppression and internal security into a state sponsored industry that is larger by some estimates than the entire national defense budget. Alongside that the economic growth of the 90s and the first decade 2000 in China has allowed them to buy off disaffected groups and given them a measure of credibility with the mainland population.
