>>5922270Both appeal to collectors but to different markets.
I have a select of both (got walgreens vader AND figurarts vader as examples) I prefer BIG figures and pose them very little, often figurarts and their articulation is wasted on me, the price of the hasbro toys also works better in my favor.
That said some black series are utter crap, cloth clothing for a figure never looks right unless its form fitted and durability over time is an issue, it just annoys me figurarts vader's cape is swooshing while walgreens vader's clothing around his midsection was misaligned.
So I buy a bit from both, not to be displayed together, just a few iconic characters from sh figurarts while troopers are from figurarts, both have a vader to lead them into battle or as an antagonist (for figurarts).
Get what you like and don;t buy what you don't, just don't buy figuarts because everyone says they're better yet you don't believe, nor black series thinking this is the best you'll get on a budget and regret the badly placed paint apps (I have paint supplies so I'm often cleaning that shit off myself), if you must buy one from each and decide your collecting life from there, just be sure to keep them sellable so your failed purchase isn't totally lost
