Can we get a minimates thread? everyone will hate me but i think that they are an easy way of getting marvel figures that no other toy line will create.

I go up and down.

Lately, I've been upset with their over abundance of movie lines and repeated characters. I get it, Iron Man sells, but that doesn't mean that's all I want when I finally get a comic wave.

At this rate, I give it a few more years before the whole thing just fades into obscurity. You know, more so than it already is.

I used to buy them all the time, sold a bulk of my collection but I still have a decent amount forever condemned to the dresser.
I still buy an odd pack or two once a year, but the plastic quality def went down and I feel like the figures got way too busy looking. Too many crazy sculpted parts and unnecessary paint apps/detail lines kinda killed the charm for me.

Sure, I'll bite. These are the ones I bought when I first got back into Minimates. I used to have quite a few, both Marvel and DC, but sold them during tough times.

I have quite a few now again, but am pretty behind. I feel like they're some of the better Marvel figures on the market, just with the sheer selection of characters, the accessories, and the effects parts.

I've personally had an...odd experience with the line.
I got a few Iron Man 3 packs, and the QC was just terrible for the most part, and that put me off for a while, then I got an ASM2 pack, and it was pretty alright, lacking in accessories and such though.
Most recently I got the Quickass and Scarlet Witch set from AoU, and it's pretty good, but I've been unsure if I wanna drop the 8-10 bucks on more after going 2/4 overall. Has the QC improved? And are the Civil War ones any good?
