So...are toys the only happiness in this life for you?
I become so happy and optimistic when finding new stuff about toys/upcoming figures or browsing Ebay for some cool stuff from 80s.
I love everything about toys.
- they represend thoughts and dreams of humanity or any specific decade
- sometimes they have extremely brilliant and unique design
- i love how just 1 toy can add something so complicated to your boring table. Their face sculpts, their meaning. The fact that its a small version of something big.
Also it reminds me of my mother. When she was alive we used to go to buy stuff at Saturday together and the time when she was buying any toy that i wanted was one of the happiest in my childhood.
We even did that few times during past years - when i was getting some money for job i was calling her and we were going to the nearest city to a bigass store and i was so excited, feeling myself like a child, seeing all those toys, buying them and feeling happy. Now she is dead and i went back to ordering stuff just from ebay, because it's not so fun to do that alone.
Combining this and what i mentioned in the beginning, toys/figures/statues is the best thing for me and the only thing that makes me happy these days.
My englisgh might seem weird - that's because its not my language.
Are there other people like me that have a special reason of why they have this hobby?
PS:
Despite of that, im very self aware and understand that it's kind of sad and not normal may be.
Sometimes i put the majority of my stuff away and leave just few the most cool/expensive ones on shelves.
Also i feel kinda the same when i watch some videos on Youtube where i see a guy in his mid 30s showing his 80s toys like Ghostbusters or TMNT and says stuff like "in my childhood" or "i remember how my dad..."
BUTTHEN i see stuff like picrelated and cant hold myself. Because brilliant design, amazing engeniering and cool look wins my heart and i uderstand that i should continue loving it
