It's a case of how much leftover money after you pay for your bills/rent.

Do you live with your parents? If so, they may or may not charge you rent. Plus then you don't have your typical bills you might have when you live alone.

So living with parents on a basic job can give you the same spending money for toys as someone working a higher paid job but rents and pays bills.

Depends on the area. I live near a city, not even in a major city, just near one. And I have to pay $1,350 a month for just a decent single bedroom. Not even a super high end apartment complex or the most expensive or nicest in the area. It's not even a great area either. The neighboring town like 2 minutes away is a complete shit hole.

I'm a manager at a subway. I basically just limit what I buy. It's pretty easy though, there haven't been many releases that have been "must haves". I have Femto and Dark Magician girl on preorder. Before that last couple figs I ordered online was Frame arm Architect and Polynian gray Clover.

It's all about knowing how to limit yourself and sticking to whats within your budget.

It also gets better what your living situation is. Right now apartment living is more expensive than living off a mortgage in my area. I was paying about $1080 a month on rent for a two bed apartment compared to paying $6 to 800 a month for a three bed house.

If you have a personal paypal, there's an option to create another one for business. Under that, whenever you create an invoice you can type another name, basically a pseudonym, and not to be confused with the name of your business. If you're on the right option it shouldn't ask for ID or any legal things.

I work part time loading/unloading trucks. I also donate blood plasma. Though even without donating plasma I'd be fine, but I like the extra money. I've also kept living expenses low.

It's hard to say how much I spend because I don't buy toys as much as I used to. Maybe $40 a month if I average it out.

OP, it's all about budgeting and self control. Just look at how much cash you have leftover after rent and other living expenses; that's your expendable currency. Now you take whatever portion of that, and use it for toys. I don't know how much that is, how much you're saving for emergencies or whatever, it varies from person to person, and you're gonna have to use some common sense here.

Generally, the best thing is to limit it to X dollars per paycheck. Maybe you decide it's 50. See a 100 dollar toy you want? Buy it, wait an extra pay period before your next purchase. It's not terribly hard.

I'm in college and work at an ice cream parlour at $10/h plus tips. I'm living in my parents' place, but they're gone for half the year so I stick around to take care of it which is nice since the dorms are disgusting. The deal is that my parents will help me with tuition, living situations and food, but if I want to buy vidya or figures I have to make that money myself and save 20% or so of it. At my worst I've spent $1000 on toys in a month, but now that my work hours are decreasing and I'm running out of room I'm whittling it down to 300-500 at the most. I've gotten to the point where I have everything released that I want and that I only have to rely off of preorders, which is nice.

I'm a Montessori Pre-School Teacher. I draw transformers for the kids in Afterschool too. Also any teaching job is sweet (in a private school) because parents love to give handsome gifts around the holidays and end/beginning of the year, like $50 amazon gift cards. Not a bad deal. Last Christmas I got $200 in cash from parents, not counting any giftcards.

If you can stay at home and save up your money for school or to buy a home or something along those lines, you should do it. This. There's absolutely no reason to leave home before you're financially ready to do so. The days of being able to support yourself straight out of high school without being in poverty, or out of college without crippling debt are long past.

I moved out 2 days after my 21st birthday, and that was only with the help of my girlfriend, and even then, we were in a shit shack in downtown Minneapolis for 2 years, before her parents paid the down payment on a house for us. There's no way we could afford this without help.

overall l get around 160000-200000 yen a month, working around 30 hours a week, my rent and bills are around 60000 in total

this leaves me with at least 100000 yen to eat and buy shit, pretty happy with how things are going now

I 'pay' my rent to my folks by being the muscle around the house and yard, pitching in for house renovations/projects, buying plane tickets for trips to see the extended family on the west coast, caring for either parent during sickness/surgery-recovery, and so forth. My folks did a shit -ton for me growing up, I'm just returning the favor now.

Oh, and I'm a supervisor at Walmart making close to $30k pre-tax, stowing away money in my savings, contributing to my own Roth IRA, and paying for all my personal shit. My folks and I get along great and I'm fine living with them and vise versa.

I work in a chemical lab. I spend too much on my hobbies. But i enjoy it and i have no financial issues and can more than afford to indulge. Maybe that will change in the future, but for now i enjoy being able to buy anything that takes my fancy.

If you struggle, then i suggest budgeting and only getting the things you really, really want.

I generally make one or two purchases a month (anywhere from $40 - $120, unless it's something bigger I preordered).

Used to spend a lot more, but I'm pretty happy with what I own currently.

I work at a grocery store, make $15 an hour. I spend maybe $500-$750 a year on toys, it's a secondary hobby.

I often times preorder things and then go back a couple months later and look at the item again and make a final decision.
