You may also want to give a few Cybertron figures a go (Leader Galvatron, Leader Prime, Voyager Starscream, Vector Prime). They're older figures, so their articulation isn't up to snuff for today's standards...but they're still really good figures. Even some of the Energon figures (Deluxe Starscream, Shockblast, Bulkhead, Landmine) are good; with the bonus of better articulation than the Cybertron figures.
Finally, give Combiner Wars a chance. There are some really good figures in that line, with Superion/UW Computron being some of the best official combiners ever released. Just make sure to get the Perfect Effect hands/feet to go with them.
