Sure, stuff like Gundams are easy as shit to assemble, but most people have no fucking idea what they're doing.
Besides, it's not even better than the BS. It's only equal in terms of look. Choosing the model is basically just a weeaboo's way of only buying superior nippon products and keeping baka western stuff away to remain pure.
Unless you like models, so you'd naturally be good and make it look good.
But yeah, i'd never recommend choosing a model kit as your "main" toy, because more than likely you dont have the proper tools for building one and it's not going to look like the prettied up ones you see in most reviews. Shit, most of those aren't actually pretty anyway. they're just neutral, but compared to what people normally made? Beautiful.
I will say that if you want to start making models, Bandai's are the best and easiest to build, but you still need the right tools to make them look good. At least buy a can of matte spray if you don't.
