Starting with what >>5982460 said, McFarlane's Movie Maniacs had a wide variety of figures over only a few years. Like all McFarlane figures, they were basically statues with a mild amount of articulation, focusing more on sculpts than anything.

Another one is NECA Cult Classics which followed a similar trend to Movie Maniacs. There were plenty of horror, but it went into sci-fi and action movies as well. This evolved into more specific lines, like the Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Alien, and Predator lines you see today. There were also other ones like Hellraiser that ran for a bit as well.

SOTA toys made quite a few figures in the 2000's with their Now Playing series. These came from movies that had lesser known recognition in the mainstream, but just as loved (Killer Klowns, Toxic Avenger, etc.).

Revoltech also released a few figures (hinted at before with my first post >>5982971), including a few characters like Jason, and the Fly Boy zombie. I can't find a good site that talks about their releases.

By the way, it would take a long time to dump photos and stuff so I'm being lazy by just listing the websites to learn more from.

Now to take a dive into a line I didn't know existed till a few weeks ago. Did you know Bandai released a line of chibi, eraser figures in 1987 of Universal Horror monsters? They were in a line called Horror World (and fetch a very pretty penny online apparently). There were all these figures listed (ignore the Gundam ad), and an unreleased one of the War of the Worlds alien.

I know, right? I think that might be the only Tremors merchandise I've ever seen. For a well loved movie, it kind of surprises me.

At least some good news is they are releasing American Werewolf merchandise in the future.

Going back into the chibi side of things, Funko has made some POP figures of horror movie monsters, as well as my all time favorite line: Horror Classics Mystery Minis! The first series was released in late 2013/early 2014 and had two more series afterwards (Series 3 just came out in early September). These focused on a wide range of horror figures. Series 1 was more slashers, Series 2 more classic and horror comedy, and Series 3 was a nice mix of all three.

There were a never produced non-bloody Ash figure planned for Series 1 (same figure, just no blood), and a Carrie and Norman Bates for Series 3 (hope they show up in Series 4 next year!).

Here are some POP figures. There are several not shown, and some newer ones that came out about a month ago.

I haven't even covered Mezco and Amok Time, which both companies had some cool Horror figure stuff. I think I may call it quits for the night, but hope some anons here found this informative and/or entertaining. I may pick up tomorrow, but I'm sure other people on here have stuff I missed.

nobody ever seems to mention this on here, but pop culture shock toys is coming out with American Werewolf in London and The Thing Figures.

What hurts me so much is that their legs are not articulated. Why would they do that? I get it, it's not in the budget, okay, but atleast prepose the fucking legs into something more dynamic and less stiff.

I was so pumped for these but now I might not even bother.

They made a line that's still being made today (I think?) that has some horror stuff called 'Monstarz'. Similar to SOTA toys (>>5983042) they also had some figures of characters from movies like Killer Klowns and Critters.

They are another company that made some Horror stuff as well, mostly just Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre though. They had action figures, little chibi figures, and I'm sure others that I missed. Their main line was Cinema of Fear in the late 2000's. They still make figures, but mostly of Chucky and other dolls and figures. I'm not as familiar with Mezco so I probably messed up on this info. The dioramas are pretty neat looking.

Diamond Select has a Universal Monsters line, with quite a variety to choose from. I think these were released in the late 2000's, early 2010's though again I could be wrong.

Nice. Yeah some these horror figures and displays can be pretty nasty to the point where I wonder why someone would even want it in their house (decapitated heads accessories, etc.). But I also must admit the craftsmanship can be superb and it's neat to see this much dedication to a market that barely gets attention until the Halloween time frame. There are Horror Conventions and such, but compare that to more mainstream stuff like Superheroes and Video games (which is a medium fortunately getting much more merchandise these past few years).

Oh darn you're right, what was I thinking. I've made that mistake plenty of times, calling Revoltech Figma and Figma Revoltech. Yeah Revoltech had a Jason, but Figma had the Fly Boy and Samara.
