>>6025337Unless you're talking old school pinhole cameras, the kind of camera you need is pretty much irrelevant if you don't know the simple basics of setting up/taking a picture (light, focus, posing, composition, etc). I've seen people post beautiful shots that were taken with shitty phone cameras, and I've seen absolutely horrible shots from people using state of the art cameras and equipment.
Best bet is get yourself an inexpensive point and shoot w/ Macro capability, look into building a cheap light box, and do some searching online for tutorials on shooting miniatures. There's all kinds of tips and tricks to make your stuff look really good. Google will be a wonderland of info for you.
Also pick up some props, and backdrops at your local hobby shop and online. (But steer clear of alleyways and sewers.)
