Unless you are buying only in one scale or just collect what you like, it's only worth it to get a toy of a figure if it makes sense for that character to be that scale. For example, most of us here would probably agree that Optimus is a voyager, the Autobot cars (Datsuns bros, Wheeljack, the Lambos, etc) would be deluxes, Wheelie, Brawn, Swerve, etc would be scouts, and Jetfire would be a leader class. There are a few that would be up to debate, like if Bumblebee should be a scout or a deluxe, or if the Dinobots should be voyager or leader.
