With Mafex I expected major QC issues, but it's honestly impeccable.

Only kinda downside is no light up eyes.

Yep. Can't really get full sized ones in Aus. Or it's at least very hard and costly. I found a full size RAY that was going for $300 USD but postage was another $300 - $400 USD on top of that. So no deal. Full size REX on ebay is at least $1000 AUD. Went with half sizes here that was $430 AUD for REX and $350 AUD for RAY. They were the cheapest I could find.

The sizes are good too. Not too big and ridiculous, but Christ almighty if I had space and disposable income I would, and they're not too small either. They're perfect.

Fortunately the postage was free for both of them. RAY was from Western Australia which only took 3 days I think to arrive and REX was from Malaysia and that took a week or so. Got lucky with that.

Maybe. Never really liked Sahelanthropus that much in MGSV. Thought it looked real retarded when I first saw it stand upright, swinging his chain-sword thing. If it's still around in the years to come and I have dosh on the side, I might get it to add it to the collection.

The head I don't mind. I think the skull on it is kinda neat. It's just the standing upright really. How it's 1984 and there's this giant walking mech going about. It was a little silly in PW with ZEKE too but PW didn't take itself seriously like TPP does. Also the fact you could build ZEKE and maintain it from scratch was pretty cool too.

Although this shot is fucking cool with Sahelanthropus though.

I bought the regular Mafex Batman via PlayAsia and ended up paying extra delivery charges, Got Armoured Batman Via eBay (just type Mafex into the search bar).

eBay's pretty good man, I'd recommend it.

The only other Mafex figure I have is the Nolan-verse Joker, left toe's abit floppy, but it's not really a big deal to me.

No problems so far with Batfleck or the Armoured version :)

If problems do happen, I believe there's a number you can call on the back of the box and get a replacement.

That's what they are. Granted REX isn't in his upright position so that might give the illusion that he's much smaller but once you get him upright, they're roughly the same size but RAY is still bigger.

In game REX is only 13.5m tall and RAY is 21.5m.

That position is unnatural, no matter how many frames you can dig up.
If you got your dolly to balance, great, but if you did it right, there would be no balance problem (or very little) because that's how the body works.
Try it yourself. Go get in those positions and tell me you don't have balance problems.

SIC limited release Golgos. It was originally released in 2004 but I couldn't afford it then since I was just a pre-teen. Then the market got flooded with HK bootlegs of it, so the original actually got even more expensive and harder to find.

Eventually found this as I was looking for Takeya revoltechs in Bangkok, for the ridiculously cheap price of $50. It turns out to be one of my fav SICs around just for how much it looks like a temple statue and the nice lacquer red it's got. Looks really good too with my SIC Amazon.

Too much. I couldn't get em all from the same store. 6 from umeda, about 140$. 2 from utsonomiya, 125$ ish. For some reason, Tsugumi and Marika were 3x pricier than the others.

Mr.Goldbergstein in Fantastic Toys is now charging £25 for basic figures, I'd rather spend the extra for import figures at that point.

Out of the box the main limb joint hols are too tight.
So the plastic bulged out unattractively. Hot water and a drill fixed it
Mine had 3 large splotches of super glue. One on the right of each boob and one in the belly. They sanded off nicely by the hip area is tricky to reach with a file

Bought him 2nd hand off of ebay. Came without the box but seller did an excellent job packaging it. Absolutely love this massive thing. Though he is very top-heavy and I don't trust it standing freely. Luckily the PAK stand does the job nicely.

SIC anon here, I'd recommend it. It's turning out to be one of my fav SIC releases, the finish on it is gorgeous. Granted, no accessories, but the sculpt is just beautiful and the lacquered look is super cool, especially if you can appreciate that Takeya made the face to reference the fierce Buddhist statues.

I feel your pain... I was only able to get the Guyver 1 "Image Head" version of the line... They are almost too expensive to even worry about nowadays.

Thankfully the Female Guyver 2 figma seems to be a much better figure overall than the kind of poor Guyver 1 ( still waiting on my Manga ver color figure)

'Star Wals' Black Series trooper from Aliexpress, cost just over £10 with free shipping.

Literally no difference in quality compared to the real thing. I've actually seen worse paint jobs on the legit ones in shops.

I filled in the eyes a bit now he looks great, though I need something to take the small paint slops around his mouth. Articulation is the same and he feels solid, not a single loose joint.

SHF Ultraman. Great sculpt, shitty QC, had to go exchange it and lucky the store owner was nice enough.

Now honestly, I'm just in love with the figure and am kind of pissed that my fav Kamen Rider Black didn't get a SHF renewal as good as the Ultraman. It's just near perfect proportion wise and while the articulation is less satisfying than the Ultra-Act, I find the overall look of the figure very good.

I prefer the more muted colours of ESB Boba but the newer version has better quality control overall. Hands aren't as loose and I prefer not having a strap getting in the way of the blaster.

Now I just have to decide who gets to stay on my Star Wars shelf...

That's a $90 gamble on the face paint job. Be aware that the sculpt is good but the paint job... is a wild gamble for the QC. They also chose an odd joint for the torso, so it feels loose until you push it back in... Generally, it was a bit of an underwhelming release for a lot of people, me included.

While there is no revo Solid Snake that's not on the 4 inch scale range... just be aware that there is a lot more problems with the figma Snake. Revo Venom Snake is deemed to be really good.

I think I'm going to try and get at least BFC Max Guvyers II and III, and the Figma Guyver IIF (she looks like she's in better scale with the BFC than the Figma Guyver anyway).

I would absolutely fucking love to own the Imakarum Mirabillis and Pluqstahl figures they made, as those are two of my favourite characters from the manga, but they're easily Hot Toys money nowadays, and absurdly rare.

My squad is complete, I cannot put into words how fucking over the moon I am to get one after 10-15 years of hunting. Stickers were applied great and are still on, motor's great, even after 30-ish years. He's a windup so it's not nearly as much of a crapshoot as the old battery ops can be.

Yeah, I opened them both up pretty much immediately. I'm not much of a collector (I mostly just lurk here every once in a while) but it's the best figure I've ever had. The quality is great and I really love how subtle/seamless a lot of the joints are, it fits with the BTAS sleek design.

Variable Action Heroes; Nirisawa Devilman 2016 version.

Came in New Years Day and I literally cannot stop posing and messing with it. Everyone says the leg joints are a problem, but they're pretty damn sturdy and don't pop out as early as everyone says. Not a fragile figure, and we'll worth the price.
If you don't prefer this look for Devilman, I'm sure something is on the way for the original Manga look. Yasushi Nirisawa, the artist of the figure and close friend of Go Nagai who's worked on Devilman products before, just passed away very recently so I'm not sure if the aftermarket price has rocketed. Pick one up if you're a fan of Devilman and are in the market for a figure more akin to the 90's OVA one.
