>>6020526Probably because today's Bandai models are DIY action figures. Almost every separate color is its own part, and if it's anything like a Gundam kit the poseability easily exceeds western offerings. You should know the joint mechanisms and tolerances if you actually build one, so it takes Greggy-poo mishandling to snap it.(for reference, Greg keeps all his shoplifted Hasbro stuff in a plastic garbage bag full of happy meal trash, and also hates imported toys because they can't survive this)
I don't have any experience with Black Series or the Star Wars kits, but I found this kit review which compares them:
http://thefwoosh.com/2015/01/bandai-star-wars-stormtrooper-112-scale-model-kit-reviewFrom what I can tell:
>kit has the better sculpt>kit hides the joints better>kit has more accessories>Black Series seems to have more knee articulation, but the kit has ball jointed wrists and shoulders>kit has stickers while Black Series has paint, but if you apply them into their (clean) grooves with a clean, pointy knife without putting finger oil on the adhesive, they'll stick. Spray the figure with a clear semigloss spraypaint if you want to seal them on and prevent water damage.>kit doesn't have warping rubber joints>kit costs $5 more>you have to clean up the sprue marks yourself, but Hasbro doesn't excel in that area eitherAgain, I don't have experience with either figure. Just offering an outside point of view.
>>6020807I have. There's, like, 5 different 6-inch Stormtroopers out there right now and people compare them.
