As for your idea of threads being merged I don't think that would be wise, 3p collectors has a different ideology, some like overly detailed transforming toys, some like them out of the cartoon, some anons have shitloads of money, others will just be worried about the IP in general, and many more valid reasons.
I say ko's of official products should be fine here, we can't stop people buying things, but the least we can do is educate people, but having outright 3p stuff can cause problems for official fags and those who just want their own idealized plastic crack
