>>6044486I'm well aware of how to pose legs with those joints, I just feel it's a) annoying to mess with and b) never looks good.
While it's certainly a matter of opinion, if you were using the Deadpool of an example of that joint style looking 'good' then I wasn't aware because to me it just looks ugly. Robots can pull it off because exposed joints are kind of a robots things, but on fleshies, the top of the leg turning into a ball is just ugly imo. There's no reason for it when you can just do a full leg with a thigh swivel and pin disc hip.
Some Revoltechs can sort of pull it off, but they use a much smaller joint and hide it between the thigh and hip molding. It has the same (annoying) form of articulation, but hiding the joint leaves the figure with a much better, more natural aesthetic.
>>6044645> I would question purchase at this price. For about $20 I would see a greater value. As someone who backed these Ninjas, I can completely understand this line of thinking. These guys ARE expensive, prohibitively so. IMO, the issues stems from the fact that their value isn't fully reflected in the figure itself, especially when compared to other mass market figures.
But by their nature of being KS figures, they're going to carry a higher cost then what a comparative figure would. Their limited run numbers and production costs, all from a start up company using outsourced designers, add to the figures final price. While some may not be as bothered to take those factors into account, many people will not be as willing to fork out extra cash due to these unseen issues.
Personally, I have no qualms with people saying they're "not worth the price", because to many, these guys just aren't. I do take issue with complaints about the figure's quality, articulation and overall look, because to me, the latter two are both top notch and exactly what I was hoping for and the former is looking good from all initial reports.
