I am half owner a company that employs 4 other people. We each have our own offices, and each one is free to decorate however they wish.
I have some figures and some things to fiddle with; My bookkeeper is a sports fan so he has all sorts of memorabilia on display.
My partner and co manager is a Star Wars nut, so he's got ships and figures out for all to see; our receptionist has some stuffed animals on her desk; Our tech/gopher/errand boy/minion doesn't have a set office, but he has a little nook in the workroom where he has some world art pieces stashed.
Having a workplace that is comfortable helps promote productivity, and generates a friendly atmosphere. Also help star conversations with existing, and new clients.
