Flash tried to protect her from Jack-O-Lantern by briefly shielding her with the Venom symbiote, but to Flash's surprise, a part of it stayed with her.
It's later explained in the last issue of the series, #42, that during Daniel Way's run of Venom, the Venom symbiote had absorbed a clone of itself, and then it had taken the hellmark that it got during the circle of 4 arc in agent venom, put it onto the clone's mass, and spit out the entire thing onto Andi to create Mania.
She was then a major character in the last few issues of Spaceknight, and it ended with Flash and Mania happily swinging into the sunset.
And now we have a new shitty host and no idea what happened to Flash or Mania.
