I woke up this morning needing a Rocketeer figure in my life for some reason. Is my memory failing me, or wasn't there some sort of issue with the Mezco Rocketeer?

Also, does anyone have any experience with the Medicom RAH Rocketeer? Thoughts?

I've heard reports that the joints are very fragile since Mezco very stupidly decided to use clear plastic for the joints. I haven't had any issues with mine other than some loose joints, which I fixed with acrylic floor polish. A few minor nitpicks though - The front jacket flap isn't removable like in the promo pics and the head joint doesn't tlit as far back in the photo. I cheated and popped the head off and taped it to the ball peg for the photo.

Have there been actual reported breakages though? Cause I remember people freaking out over the clear pegs on Hasbro's K-2SO too, but those seem quite sturdy.

Yes, I've seen numerous pictures on here. My tip is to just heat up the joints with warm water before you go posing him.

That was the case with certain types of plastic years ago. The clear plastic used now is the same kind used in other joints, only there's no coloring added.
Also, there were SOME reports of joint breakage on the figure, but nothing as drastic as >>6145027
is trying to make out.
Get yourself one OP. Just be careful (As you ALWAYS should) when you first start to test movement of the joints, and you should be A-OK.

I sort of assumed, since all plastic starts clear and only achieves color and opacity via additives...but you never know. I wouldn't put it past Funko to use some shit-rate fragile clear plastic, they don't have a great rep in my book.

Being a huge fan of the original movie, I've always wanted a good Rocketeer fig. The Funko is great. Like I said, the joints on mine are still intact, if a little loose, but still be wary because I've personally seen pics of broken joints posted on this board.

If you're a fan, it's the best and most afforable option in the six inch scale.

I got one. The hip joint wasn't secured on mine, though to fix it would only take a little glue. His left hand ended up breaking off, though I don't recall it being stuck or using too much force. With a few changes it could have been a great figure, but as it is it's alright. Only 6" option if I recall correctly.

Mine's left hand ring (inside the hand) crumbled to dust as soon as I opened the package. I wound up drilling out the peg from the forearm, drilling out the hand, and shoving a tiny Figma joint in. It works for the most part, but I'm still super bummed about it because I could never find it for any less than $26 in my hood--and then it was only ever the one figure.
