Dude. It's a dieselpunk. Im a sort of designer and my favorite genre is a Dieselpunk and i very sensitive about this subject because im such a dorky faggot every when its time to talk about these 2 genres.
Even more - Ninjago Sky Pirates is a bright and fresh example of a DIESELPUNK genre.

Is it a steam powered? NO
Is it a bunch of "clockwork-mechanisms"? NO
SkyPirates is basically a bunch of World War 2 pilots sent into some kind of techno-fantasy.
Which means its a dieselpunk.
Also obviously part of inspiration from Talespin series - one of the brightest Dieselpunk-inspired cartoon.

Both-ninjago and nexo knights are Techno-fantasy.
A medieval aestetics added to semi-modern or even futuristic designs.
