>>6163535Look at a majority of Godzilla figures, especially in the case of the latest two, Legendary and Shin. The spines are not simply on the back, they can run up the neck and down the tail. In Legndary's case you'd have to replace every spine for the glow effect.
Now look at even older Godzilla designs. You would have to remove the torso joint to make swappable spines a thing, or have multiple panels to remove on figures that are already notorious for holding together as is.
Maybe on larger scale figures like the recent BioGoji (which has glowing spines thanks to electronics), but on smaller scale ones like most MonsterArts or NECA figs it's just not really something that will work too well.
