With Junji Ito's manga getting pretty consistent releases in English, what are the odds we see a figure company do some figures of his work? I'd buy all of them

Only normalfags would be "scared" by Ito's stories. Most of his stories implement body horror and fear of the unknown. If you can appreciate that then you'll be able to enjoy his work.

The Enigma of Amigara Fault seems to be a most known popular one for being the most 'scary'

I never really got nightmares from his stories, they're just sort of sit in the brain for a while and make you think, and come off overall unsettling which I quite like personally

But there are quite a lot of them, so just try out whatever story has an interesting name that you think may get to you

Some I like are The Circus is Here, Scarecrows, The Groaning Drain, Drifting Spores or The Hanging Balloons.

That one was kind of a letdown. It ends too abruptly and we don't see any (spoilers) horror of (without spoiling much) what's currently in the drain and how it currently looks. The fault lines comic was much better and was what I hoped the drain would be too.

The genius of it is that it doesn't show you. Most of the time, truly effective horror consists more of what you don't see than what you do--your imagination will spin wildly out of control as it tries to imagine what could be lurking in those dark corners. I'll frankly take a good tense buildup with only glimpses of a threat, over another CGI creature or bloodied murderer reveal any day. If that story had ended with the guy slithering out of the pipe all burnt and deformed, it would have been just another Amigara Fault ending. Boring.

Ito has plenty of stories where he DOES show you terrifying sights. The Groaning Drain is a good example of him showing restraint, and to great effect it seems, since it was particularly memorable to many people ITT.
