Seems that way. Pretty lame considering how important they are to the plot. Lucy is basically the third protagonist, and could have had some cool accessories (tear blades, corpse parts, a certain someone's head). I figured they wouldn't do Diego but it still hurts, he is better than Dio in pretty much every way and has an awesome design in Dino form.

It's fucking awful. No tusk doesn't even make sense, it's the main protagonist stand. Ballbreaker is at least small enough to come with gyro, hopefully not at the cost of steel ball effects.

Honestly Medicos will probably go the easy route and give up a "Tusk" but bundle Act 1 with Johnny to justify a stand and user pairing. The fact they may not do a Tusk Act IV which stands as its own figure means we may never see one or they pass it off to DiMoltoBene.

Medicos can argue that it's an accessory for Gyro like how SHA and Iggy was for their respective figures. There's the one whopping pose is does that we see depicted that would make it a static figure piece. There's probably a small arm to attach to the main base setup and there you have Gyro and Ball Breaker.

I might be done with Medicos if this is what they pull. There is absolutely no excuse for not doing the main characters stand. I always expected Johnny to end up like Koichi with act 1 and 2 bundled with him. No act 4 would be the final nail in the coffin for me.

Well might as well do that now. The only other idea I imagined just now is Medicos follows GSC and do the "Figfix" route and offer up figures that wouldn't get an SAS as in-scale statues for other figures seeing how Statue Legends have their own thing going and are probably locked down to certain characters Medicos wouldn't do like Vanilla Ice and Cream(which in my opinion is their best work).

Or they do this new and honestly more pain in the ass route and follow through on WF/Lottery being an windowed release for characters and stand releases. Baoh is already the first figure not meeting mass release and is exclusive.

He probably assumed that anyone who read Steel Ball Run would be familiar with how important she is to the plot and not question why one would assume she would be included in a line that usually delivers the main protagonists and villains at the very least. If there was room for Fugo and wheelchair Polnareff, there's room for Lucy.

Solid generally but some characters have known QC issues. Now Nobunaga is a a different case seeing articulation and range of movement isn't going to be great given how his outfit is and Medicos has never really made strides to updating their articulation scheme with things like pullout arms and pulldown legs to compensate certain limitations.

They can nail sculpt and paint for the most part but some recent stuff haven't been so hot like Tokyo Ghoul but hopefully Drifters can be treated more carefully like Parasyte and Aijin.

4-6k depending. Some go as low as 2.5k whereas limited WF variants and sought after colorways can bump to 7-15k+

Also have you tried the buyfag sites? The OP has the storefronts you need to actually get reasonable prices.

Got my case to a place I'm pretty happy with after two months of collecting the line. I plan on copping a happy and soft and wet to round me off until gyro and Johnny get released.

How's my posing, and does anyone have any tips for displaying this many figures on one shelf? I don't have a lot of room to work with, and the risers I got don't really add a whole lot of flexibility.

Kaneki was good, but the other two were shit.

Also, Nobunaga is huge. Way too large, even compared to Toyohisa, I think. So that's gonna be another case of Tokyo Ghoul syndrome, where the SAS are out of scale with the characters they share their universe with.

WTF is wrong with my GE guys? The molding on the right leg seems really off and it falls off easily. You cant really compare it to the other leg from this pic, but it seems like the top part where it connects to the pelvis is way too big.

Wasn't Jojo near the bottom of the rankings even during its more popular parts though? From what I understand it was always too weird and off-putting for most of the regular Shonen Jump crowd, but it endured due to solid tankobon sales.

I've never found rankings for the earlier parts tho, so you might be right, if you have any, would you mind sharing?
But SO is definitely among the least liked parts in Nipland, regardless.

Actually from what I've read/seen, many nip fans stopped caring too much about JoJo once Part 6 ended because it was the end of that whole Joestar bloodline story. Then Part 7 is revealed to be JoJo and fans either didn't care too much about JoJo anymore or they thought it was good but something separate than what they thought of as "JoJo"

It was discussed earlier in the thread, but the only announcements we have for part 7 is Gyro, Johnny, Valentine, and D4C. Which sucks as part 7 has some great designs and characters, no Tusk Act 4 is unforgivable by itself. I'm sure we will have a painted Gyro at the very least, who knows for the rest.

At best they will discount you something like 500yen for shipping. Really you should try to soften the plastic up in hot water and then use the xacto knife and work along the sides and see if it wedges the hinge loose to move again. Just work it in but don't apply too much pressure.

I think he is a decent figure, more accurate to Manga design than the anime version. Part 5 Silver C has better articulation but 3 of its limbs have been amputated halfway, and part 3 Silver has that sweet gold silver color-scheme, just get whatever you think looks coolest i guess, just try to get both from the same part, mismatching them does not work stylistically.

SAS are pretty outdated in terms of articulation yeah. My Soft and Wet has awful arm mobility thanks to his shoulders as well. Which sucks cause they look great, but my figuarts blow them out of the water in terms of posing.

Honestly I'm fine with articulation on most of the figures, but when basic shit like shoulder movement can't even stretch to 90 degrees it pisses me off. Which is sort of why I don't like Crazy D as much as I would have. But I really do love his shouting face, and that sound plate is beautifully done.

King Crimson on the other hand has really good articulation, a fantastic sculpt, and that blood red paintjob is just flawless. My only main issue is Epitaph has a lazy eye and even then I believe Epitaph did have a lazy eye in the manga.

In my opinion there is no reason to get part 3 polnareff, he looks fucking weird and it's way smaller. My part 5 polnareff arrived a couple of days ago and it's very nice, apart from a couple of QC issues. Just be careful with his pink lace since it's not sculpted on the shirt but soft plastic glued inside a small canal, so it may get a bit un-glued but it's nothing you can't fix in less than a minute. Also the box is 6 times a regular box, for some fucking reason

No matter what your opinion is on color scheme the pink ones generally had higher quality paint apps, shading and overall appeal to them. They also cost less at the time. This new one was super underwhelming outside of the new head sculpt to use. It wasn't horrible but it was nowhere near as impressive to hold in hand. It's also not very photogenic which is why a lot of early shots really threw people off.

Most SAS figures have little elbow pieces where the joint is. These pieces sometimes fly off when you're bending around your arm joints really quickly, hence, "rocket elbows." They're just caps over the joints so you can easily reattach them back on with no worries of glue or damage, it's just irritating is all.

Rohan is one of those exceptions though. Diego has a realistic chance of being passed on in favor of just Valentine and D4C to close out Part 7. It sounds shitty but I fully expect Medicos to make Diego a impossibility and push him as a project for Di Molto Bene.

Given all those one-shots of Rohan (Rohan goes to Gucci, Rohan and the Louvre etc...) I would imagine Araki enjoyed expanding his character beyond the main story and giving him this sort of flagship status in some way and also the fandom having a sort of attachment to him and Araki. He has a ton of exposure that I would imagine would drive a lot of his popularity above others and would have Medicos push him to have the most character re-sculpts out of everyone else at this point.

Not sure how well received Part 7 is for Japan's side compared to how rabid it seems here but personally I don't care know and Medicos is ultimately making those decisions to justify who meets a release.

There's the Megahouse Cutie Figure Mascot gashapons from a while back that mostly encompasses Part 3, but only Hol Horse and Dio for non-crew members (no Anne though). There's also the Chara Heroes line, which has more of the Part 3 Tarot Stands, but no Anne as far as I'm aware.

Wrong, they clearly tried to make the manga face, and they failed hard at it.

Well it's not like online he's much cheaper. Usually he's 8k on mandy, to wich I'd have to add 900 yen for SAL shipping and a 22% customs fee, that's why it's almost appealing.

It is a huge hassle but it's totally worth it. I scored a Caesar (first release/green outfit) for really cheap even with the added fees and shipping. Every once in a while I'll see a Wammu on there around the 5k-6k range which is a lot cheaper than what you've seen.

What scale would be the best if I wanted to buy accessories for some of my figures. Im talking mostly stuff like chairs, or maybe a small accessory they can hold.

I know the figures can range a bit in size depending on part but on average what should I be shooting for?

Picked up Joseph and Ceasar in December 2016[50$ and about 100$ respectively] and I'm fairly happy with them, though sadly I only recently realized this is the uh... Very Blue color scheme of Joseph and not his normal because I thought the normal one didn't exist which makes me a little sad. I'm planning on picking up Wamuu and possibly Old Joseph next, but I'm generally unsure on my next pickups.

SAS handles colors a little differently from my years of collecting. Medicos always chooses really basic colors for their "1st" SAS edition of a figure. Man I didn't notice that but Caesar 2nd has been set up in prices like 4k or roughly $40 but $50 for Joseph isn't too bad but $100 for that Caesar isn't the best and the reason I avoid Amazon or Ebay. Just keep a rule of thumb as you go on to base your budget/price on what the aftermarket looks like in sites like Mandarake since you can save vastly more in the long run versus some Amazon seller prices.

All of the SC characters saw rereleases and even new colorways in the case of Jotaro, Kakyoin and DIO so they're readily available.

For SP, the first one was the first SAS ever made and I don't know if it ever saw a rerelease, 2nd was a limited release and everyone bought up the 3rd ones since 1st was hard to find, 2nd was expensive and purple was the anime colors so it inherently became expensive.

I see him at Mandrake but apparently they no longer ship anything in SAL small packets to Europe (specifically Poland), and I don't want to spend another 3k just for shipping.

Yup, that's a pretty solid price. Part III Dio is one of the earliest figures in the line, so he's a little outdated in terms of articulation, but you should be able to get a clue for what the line's about.

My black part 3 DIO has the loosest joints I own on a figure. The knees are the main problem, they can't even hold the weight of the figure. Any suggestions on a fix?

Not really. I'll even advise to wait since the rush could be temporary seeing how unpopular SP3rd and The World 1st are generally. It's obvious more people caught wind of the line due to the anime and catching up to Part 3 to have stores make the new prices and considering how little in the way of quality statues there are.

Also you rolled a bad Black Dio since there was a bad batch of him in circulation. Best you can do is used the future floor shine method and see if that tightens the joints a little.

Isn't that how Medicos and DiMoltoBene operate? DiMoltobene also do some of the characters Medicos covers but I feel they specialize in minor villains and other side characters. Going by a wiki they are also a subsidiary of Medicos Entertainment so it makes sense they work in a sort of tandem. If they can't do an SAS then a statue legend may occur to get that character out there.

I had the red one and it was a solid figure. The red color on his clothes really pops due to fluorescent paint and despite what people say it pairs fairly well with all versions of The World.

My only warning is about the size of the box since it's fairly large compared to most standard releases and likely to bite you in the ass. Maybe not as bad as P5 Polnareff or Awakened DIO 2nd, but still.

White Snake has a bumped up price because one, Medicos has just been bumping up the price for new releases in general, and two, he's bigger than most other SASes and his sculpt/paint is very detailed. Not too many accessories which is a bit disappointing, but White Snake is still one of my favorite figures that I own

Not really 4-5k is a better ballpark but with the rise of how certain SAS are going you can do far worst. Just be mindful on her elbow pieces.
