So the first MEKA is pretty nice. It definitely feels bootleg-tier, but the paint is pretty nice considering, and it's got some real heft to it. It can't do much aside from essentially being a 1/12 prop, but it's pretty great at that. One thing to note is that the stuff-a-figma-in-there gimmick doesn't really work, but mostly because:
1: the model straight up cheats and doesn't have room for someone's legs, or even lower torso in some cases
2: the joysticks are too far out to grab most of the time
3: I'm just now realizing how few figmas can actually look up 90 degrees

I'll be honest, that's one design that's literally perfect for a company like DX9. Whenever regular toy companies try to do transforming stuff it usually ends up being a mess. Can you imagine max factory trying something like that? Maaaaybe if bandai put their macross A team on it.

I'll find where i saw it, but right from the start their whole gimmick was that it could actually fully transform between those two modes and partsform into tank.

I guess along the way people started getting confused and thought the whole thing was a total partsformer to begin with. Though at least the tank treads are apparently supposed to be able to roll.

For the most part I'd rather just have the default "canon" appearances for a lot of the characters. I'd like to see a white rabbit skin for D.Va if they ever do her though just because I play her the most. A line of figma or whatever would surely end after a few of the heavy hitters are done, much like Street fighter figuarts. D.VA's box is just messed up and MEKA itself is kind of broken apart. Given the quality, it's likely the box itself wasn't really meant to last long distance travel and the figure itself is pretty much bootleg tier anyways. This'll at least let me get a look at whatever articulation it has more properly and possibly mod it easier, at least.

Widowmaker is owned by someone else, so I can't really take a look at her without their permission.

Around a total of 60 dollars or so. 55 for the toy itself, 5 bucks for the shipping, assuming the price of shipping is proportional to the weight of the overall package. You can probably safely assume that D.VA/MEKA ate up a good chunk of the shipping amount.

Whether or not MF decides to throw us that bone is debatable, but yeah, it could be done without requiring an entire additional release. This would also be the smarter way to go because it would facilitate faceswapping between skins.

Unless they really plan to do everyone, I think it's a little more slim. Thinking about it, I can see why they went for a Nendo since it actually fits her character more.

I mean ideally it would be great if we could get everyone in Nendo/Figma form, but that's not how it always turns out.

I haven't notice anything like that in game, there's always someone picking Tracer and a majority of people seem pretty pumped over her Nendo. She's still up on AmiAmi as one of the top 3 most viewed items.
