>>>6204743>Yet Chun Li doesn't really have a look that she is supposed to look like.UH, any of the official video game art?
>Admittingly it's a bit stupid of the Figuarts box to show the SFV logo Pretty obvious that's what license they got and are bound to it, despite the generic look.
>Her style in games differs from the games artAnd that's how collector toys are usually made, each different game/movie/comic/cartoon gets its own version. Go look at all the Link, Batman, Metroid, Sonic, Mario, Mickey Mouse, Ryu, Spider-Man, Jason, Ben 10, and, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Tons of art and styles, all getting proper toys.
Yet here you are, arguing that Chun Li should be exempt? WTF.
>Marvel... are generally more consistent in their character designs between medialol
Sorry, but there's been a hundred trillion different artists doing characters like Wolverine. Go look at the Revoltech threads where they've been clamoring for MvC Wolverine, because of how Yamaguchi's style is pretty similar to that art.
Characters like TMNT and Batman have all gotten dozens of figures based on different art styles, yet Marvel stuff has never gotten that sort of high end market, and we've mostly gotten generic realistic styles for the characters in the form of mass market children's line Marvel Legends.
Pretty sad, considering how there's a ton of collectors clamoring for DCC-quality figures of Marvel comic characters.
But nope, here you are, going against the grain, arguing that somehow a generic figure is how a toy is supposed to look for a character, despite collectors and the collector's market showing a high demand for specific styles.
