I made 10 (fucking 10) Bricklink orders. Im out of money and out of food but im so happy.
Did anybody was in such situation? Its like i dont understand what kind of autism i even went through.
I just imagine those 10 bricklink orders will be arriving one after another and i will be extremely happy so lack of food is not even a problem.
One of orders is a bigass pack of pieces i always had problems with.
It contains 15 technic pins, some weird connectors and super useful stuff like that in quantity of 6-10-15.
I will never have problems of not having those pieces again.

They should have two categories of Ideas sets, or something.

A cheaper one (like, the $30-$60 ones) and a bigger ones (Like modular-sized plus).

There's plenty of people who'd buy the big ones, and LEGO only releases one modular a year anyway. And it isn't like they release all that many multi-hundred dollar sets a year.

The torso and leg prints look weird compared to the regular CMF animal suits. I'll probably end up swapping the torso for one from the CMF penguin suit kid and legs for plain white or black ones. It's still one of the better villain figs from this series, though - imo only pencil guy and March Hare are better.

Its clearly not in scale with the figures or the included mini boat. The figures on the ship look ridiculous and pretty much all the cannons are brick built and scaled down. Plus there is no entrance to the cabin because the doors are tiny and for decoration.

I decided instead of a completely new moc based on HM I would got for a recreation of The Sons' drug room instead since it gave me something to reference while building.
I know it looks kinda off in some places and I'm sure you guys will know better ways to make the walls that take up less pieces and I would love to hear some feedback!

No I was just going off of screenshots.
Scale is tricky not so much with the room I made since one person was about as wide as a single square tile so I used 2x2s as them and went from there.
Detail is annoying too since most of the maps in HM have lots of very small things littered around the floor which is hard to recreate and I often found myself staring at a small bundle of pixels trying to work out what it was supposed to be

This was actually because I wanted the hallway to have a certain texture to it like it does in the game but when I cut the hallway out after I realised it was a waste I just stuck with the smooth tiles.
I also don't like the way studs look in LDD so it was nice not seeing the whole room filled with them

Check a few places, like minifig.me or firestar toys, they do third party printing (meaning prints of OFFICIAL lego parts, so not cheap quality) and might either have just a plain white suit, OR they could print one for you. Jack in pic related was done by minifigs.me.

I made a how-to.

I've also come to suspect that there might not be a sealant coat, and that might just be how the ink from the printing dries, but either way, leaving some Brasso on it for a little bit before you start scrubbing does seem to help.

Although that's mostly the acetone eating away at the ABS, I think.

I've never tried it with non-acetone nail polish remover, so you could give it a go and see what happens.

Picked up the Ninjago Titan Mech Battle set yesterday, got around to building it a little today, shame the mechs aren't as good as the Ronin one, but I am really impressed with some of the detailing on them, the bucket handles used on Zane's mech in particular add some nice texture/patterning.

it has some neat neutral stickered pieces for run down structures or vehicles, pretty neat red rims if you like that style of cycle and atleast some fun minifigure parts that can be used for custom stuff. The car in itself isn't up to par to my standards but pretty usefull pieces. If it's marked down a bit and you atleast want to use the trucks pieces, i'd say do it.

I got an earlier enlighten set in the same "theme" and the quality was pretty good
Clips and rods had issues of being too tight, but as parts mixed in with actual lego it works fine
Minifigs are meh as you can see by the shitty face prints but the bodies are decent

I'd like the soldiers wearing the shore trooper helmets to be my generic soldier, but shore troopers are ridiculously expensive. Hoping for a micro fighter with one of them

Hotline Miami anon again with a customised version of a stolen moc sadly.

If you're going with bootlego, you can maybe see if china has something to help. Bricklink is a good option for real Lego. Maybe if you have a local Lego store you could PAB parts if you have the time to sit in the store and pack cups perfectly. You could also save on shipping if you pick a brick. Good luck

It's a little-known fact that you can buy a sealed cardboard box of pieces from the PAB wall at some Lego stores. You might look into that. Otherwise, eBay often has auctions with X pounds of a single color for about $10 per pound.

FYI it's only controversial because the artist is an idiot who thought cutting and gluing pieces was easier than actually building sets. We expect better from you.

You are better off to buy the parts well packed in a cup than the k-box. But that's an option I probably should have mentioned. sometimes k-boxes go on sale if they store is overstocked on any silly parts that don't move. Those are usually one half of a hinge or palm fronds that aren't very useful in a $100 boxful.

That looks pretty simple, cut pieces aside.

Like all the buildings are just boxes made of 2x4 grey bricks. I'd advise you to pick better source material, there's a shitload of concentration camp images online that would help you build something moderately accurate and creative that isn't "The place where grey 2x4s and baseplates go to get cut up"

If you want some advice, look at actual images of camps and realize that you need a lot of grass and dirt and wood
they were not at all as grey as you think they were

The k-boxes or kbox sales? I read about the k-boxes online and asked my friendly local Lego store. They happened to be having a clearance and I was able to buy a box of dark read 1x2 bricks for $20. I should have bought more. If you get in good with your local store they can give you heads up when they go on sale. Or just luck into it.
