It's the uncanny valley. The skin looks really close to real, but there's a rubbery quality to it that throws the whole thing off. The same principle applies to Phicen bodies, so while I like the outfits and head sculpts, I'd much rather have a traditionally jointed figure. Plus, I don't like the idea of the material cracking and tearing over time.

Its the plastic one sadly. I'm considering getting the steel one though as this one has a weird flaw in it (not even damage but it appears a scrap of plastic flash was in the mold when the silicone was poured in? it looks like a cancer lump desu)

there's a massive lack of competition and also the production process is largely hand craft which increases the production and labour costs
