So it'll take a long while before we see anything else from Agito.

How do we know/confirm toy sales of each show besides observing how they sold at mandrake/ami/hlj? I'm curious if there's a site you guys rely on for these or it's all just observation as to how many different products and lines they get. For example, how did Drive, Ghost, Ex-Aid do compared to each other in terms of toy sales wise? They're 3 very different series, in terms of not just suit design but even the tone of the show. Has there been a show where the show did well but the toys shelf-warmed and vice versa?

If so, how do I read this graph? I had just assumed that these are reports of "Q1 sales = XXXXX"
sorry to other anons who aren't interested in this, but to me things like these are interesting because I'd like to know how to express support for the series I like that can get back to them as a result. I don't usually buy the blu-rays on-time but I do buy the toys on-time along with pre-orders.
Anonymous
>>6257464 That chart is just toy sales for each quarter rearranged by show. I'm speaking from experience for W and OOO both from online shopping and actually being in Japan when they were airing when it comes to trying to find toys.
If you actually list the number of toys shows have planned in the catalog, W certainly has fewer than the shows that come after it.
Bandai has also made statements about certain toys. The Sengoku Driver sold 700k units by the June of Gaim. The OOO Driver sold 750k and the Fourze Driver sold 800k by the winters after their shows ended. There were like 33 million Astro Switches sold.

I was wondering if my Meteor was a bootleg or something due to it's faceplate being more teal, but it looks like it's rare for them to be the accurate color looking at various auctions on Yahoo! Japan. What's worse is that some of the older metallic-looking figures appear to be completely different colors, like Double's Heat Metal form and Kuuga being pink instead of red.
Anonymous
>>6258810 I pretty much only bought KR Black and never looked back... if not this series would be the end of my bank account for just how many of them I want. Also a bit difficult to justify the $15+ asking price for most of them. Really gorgeous detailing though, Banpresto always produces nice figurines and sculpts. My only complaint would be that on more classic riders, their antennaes can be warped/bent. Not as much of a problem with heisei riders who don't have similar style antennaes.

>>6259594 >But it is true don't like doing Tech Riders unless they have a good idea for them How so? They did Birth TWICE and I imagine Fourze wouldn't be so different: a fairly simple design with a bunch of option parts. Also, they've done every main Rider except Fourze (and Ex-Aid of course but it's too soon for him). Even if they don't want to go deep into a Fourze line they should at least do the main Rider for those who only collect them.

Ghost is one of those combinations for me where both the story and the suit sucks, so am not surprised to hear if the SHFs didn't do well. Every new Rider release gets a split response but Ghost really was difficult to keep watching just because of how the main character was written. Pity too because I really liked the concept on paper, a ghost-based Kamen Rider. It really weirded me out too that he looked so technological, unless the later plot has something to do with it. I couldn't last through the first 12.

The series box set on the other hand appears to have custom-made cover art that looks nice on the front and spine (aside from saying "VOL 1-8" instead of "Complete Series" on the spine), but the back looks a bit jumbled together. The discs themselves appear to be ports of the Japanese DVD releases, though I believe there were more discs in the Japanese releases than the eight here, once again with excellent English subs added in. However, all the discs have some sort of audio issue which makes it so that it is deafeningly loud no matter how low I turn the volume on the television. >>6261053 I hang them with hooks. As for the dual gashats, since they don't have holes, I display Para-DX's inside its holder and the beta propped on top of my malfunctioning Trailer Cannon. I have yet to work out some space for them.
But yeah, they need some special kind of holder or display stand. Better be crafty like the other anons or make a specially designed one.

Does the Gamer Driver have an actual mirror in it? Like a made of glass, will shatter if dropped kind of mirror? Not just a reflective surface of some kind.

also, there's something weird about the...specularity of the paint in these photos. the chrome is showing off a lot of grain, and the candy coat flecks are kind of distracting. it's kind of like a shiny holographic trading card. does it look like that in hand?

And it's probably just because of the close-up shots that it looks that way, I usually use a 'Smart Sharpen' filter with a low setting on all of them just to bring out the details a little better.
In hand it looks nice and smooth and shiny.

The Neo Amazon Driver uses the combo plastic and soft straps that CSMs tend to use. So they must have beefed up the Neo Amazon Driver quite a bit. A CSM in everything but name. If so, I am glad that Bandai got the picture and realized it's adults who are buying these. Granted, I ak not sure why that flew over their collective head considering all the thematic advertising but at least they fixed their course.
