I'd most prefer something done in the old ML style, but I've also accepted them as dead
I'd live a Mezco One:12 (since they did another HB hero), Figma, Neca, Figuarts, or even Hasbro legends style Mightor.
I know there were previous figured but they fit in with essentially nothing I own.
Who else do you feel needs just any kind of modern 6" figure?

It'll never happen. The toy companies can't afford to pay Nicholson's likeness rights which is why you don't see any figures of him. Only Hot Toys had the money to be able to pay him and obtain his likeness.

You can forget about NECA. Randy and the higher ups are too cheap to make a Nicholson happen. Besides, it would be 1/4 scale at 18" first, not 6". They'd rather make Predators and Aliens until the end of time.

Mezco has a One:12 Keaton Batman planned, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for a Joker. Mezco did those little block mez-itz figures of Batman, the Batmobile, Returns Batman, Penguin and Catwoman, but not Joker. He was the only one that's missing. If they can't even do a little block figure, no chance of them doing an actual figure. SH Figuarts? After seeing their horrible TDK Joker and Batman, I don't think they'd do Jack justice.

Hot Toys is your best bet if you want a nice Nicholson Joker figure. If you look around, you can snag one of them for under $300. Both of them are great and are the only chance you'll ever get at a Jack Joker or any Jack Nicholson toy for that matter. Unless of course you commissioned an artist to make a custom figure for you, which would probably be even more expensive.
