So with Wonfes about two and a half months away, it's about two months or maybe a little less that Medicos announces it's exclusives.

In recent years they have been releasing two figures per event (which would actually be way cooler had it not been for the fact this barely compensates for the lack of releases outside of that, but whatever) so we can assume we're getting two this time around.

Cast your bets now, what we gonna get?

I'm betting 1) Whitesnake in black/white and 2) Diavolo in an almost identical colour to his current colorway.

The devils advocate inside me wants to also say that instead of Diavolo it will be a new sculpt from one of the things we have seen already. So either Proscuitto, Ruby or Nash, or god forbid even Gyro.

Excellent, after getting acustomed to his lanky nature and the range of movement he offers because of that, it immediately propelled him to my top favorite figure in my collection. The ab crunch could be a little better but the tall scale he has and sculpt really makes him a standout and I do wish more anon's would pick him up if the price drops from his initial preorder.

And I guess if you want to be series accurate the two sets of hands he has are meant to compliment another IBM that Medicos planned fans to pick up since the bodies are the same but the antagonist IBM has 6 fingers and has the flat/open head which every IBM SAS has so it's a wierd duo purchase to complete a fight display.

If I have one knack is the neck peg seems so small and easy to snap that I'm generally very gentle when swapping the heads but overall he has withheld all my pose attempts and I seriously wish Medicos goes crazier with the mummy wrap look these guys have if another release will ever happen. Hell, I was shocked how well he works with PAK guns I had lying around and all I had to do was to softenthe trigger hand with warm water (which also made me wish he had one for both hands just for the chance to duel wield guns once I get another one of these guys.)

Theres a Decent priced Kars and a decent priced Kira 1st on jungle now. They're B status but the B status Kars I got from jungle was better quality than anything I got on Mandy.

That looks pretty good, but just a little attention to detail could improve it. For instance, you gave Mista the wrong gun, and the direction SF is jumping could have his zippers facing back toward Buccellati.

Not to dis your idea, but it will probably not look good because of how severely out of scale they are with eachother. Jonathan towers over all of them, Joseph is probably an inch shorter than Jonathan and the rest are manlets with varying heights.

Just got Fugo and Bruno from Mandarake - 4500 JPY for 2 SASs were too much to ignore! Now the gang looks like this on my shelf - a long way to collect the whole Passione, but I like it all right!
The posing is just for lulz, yeah.

Recent hauls. After getting dicked by snipers which I can only attribute to bots or japs who camp the stores for 6 months I finally got this bitch. Also grabbed the iggy keychains which are cool. They were 1200 yen Each. Theres also a stone mask one at the same price I got a while ago. Looks like the same sculptor as the one that comes with Oldseph (far right). No articulation though and the 2nd form Iggy cannot balance on his own. If you really wanted one I would get the old style Iggy and the Statue Legend 2nd of the fool.

While you're at it, download some rudimentary free photo editing program. Like the Gimp, if it's still around, or the freeware Photoshop CS2. You'll need it anyway if you're getting into toy photography, and this printscreen shit just isn't a good idea in the long run.

Wouldn't it depend on Proxy's and what fees your getting hit with? I only resort to YAJ not for cheap deals but for rarer items and event exclusive stuff that Mandy never stocks. Proxy fees add up and may go over your intended budget if you're not careful.

That's not too bad. Sometimes you can get fairly lucky, My SP only totaled about $20 in total costs for shipping from JP to the US with everything else added. If it's a good deal, I would say just jump on it. If you're worried about saving cash then use a cheaper shipping than EMS, etc.

I kind of soft gave up on the line after they aborted the part 6 line-up and because of how outdated, unfun, and badly put together they felt next to other lines but I still held out hope.
I was almost pulled back in by Baoh until they announced it was a con exclusive.
Now we have a Gyro who looks about as boring as a wall who will cost a shit ton more than other better figures within a few weeks.

I would guess they are indeed suffering financially, which is why they are scaling back operations. Honestly if you're in a financial pinch what they are doing is best for them, creating smaller runs of guaranteed sales while they stabilise themselves. I never meant exporting they (as far as I know) never did that anyways. What I meant was that they aren't releasing shit. I get playing it safe but creating molds and shit costs money too so I don't get why they would just use these once and then quit.

I get your points about stability but you can release retail waves of smaller magnitude so you pretty much fill the preorders with little extra stock. Just looking at the second hand market could be a decent indication as to which figures would serve a (smaller) reissue. Making new molds seems to be opposed to the point you're trying to make of cutting costs.

I mean how much money will they realisticly make at wonfes with only 3k figures if we keep in mind the costs of producing these figures and the stand itself (which I assume will cost them a decent amount too). It is the only release since that drifters dude so how many people do they employ like 4? I just don't get how a company could make enough money to stay afloat.

While the American market is an untapped potential, that doesn't change that it would account for a measly percent of the sales they can make domestically. I'd even wager less than 5%. And for that 5% they have to endure the headache of negotiating and arranging exports, distribution, customs and all that crap. Just doesn't sound worth it.

By making these figures exclusive and extremely limited they just give scalpers the oppertunity to make money of their backs while they themselves see their company shrink and shrink because... guess what? A company needs to have product in order to keep making money. Unless they plan to downsize their whole operation they should atleast try to create product even if they are fucking recolors which are relativly cheap compared to new figures because the molds already exist.

The only retail figure they've released in the last months is the drifters dude. Compare this to a few years ago it just seems completely impossible to keep the company alive.

The guaranteed sales shit that keeps being brought up also sounds completely stupid. If you are afraid you can't sell everything make less. Look at Nintendo they do that shit all the time. After their initial wave they gauge sales and reactions and if needed reissue figures people want. They are making fractions of the sales they did years ago and the "shrunken collecters market" means they should go the same route and create smaller runs and go back to reissues which are even cheaper because they already have all the shit they need to create the figures. Part 4 launches and they don't reissue the characters? Either these nips are completely ignorant on the market and influences on sales or they are just plain old incompetent.
