Some other good fidget toys better than spinners imo that I shoved together in paint:
Steel Lynx Mobii: An infinite loop of smooth metal rings inside each other. So perfectly designed that you can roll the thing like it's a ball, and watch the rings cycle through each other to allow motion. Or you can roll it in your own hand, of course. Incredibly, incredibly satisfying.
Steel Lynx Chained: Also infinitely loops, and it involved smooth metal rings, but the main component is bike chain. Like, actual chain, that was repurposed in a workshop. I know, at least for me, that the feel of pressing your fingers into the cool, uneven surface of a bike chain is one of the best feelings you can get from randomly touching junk, and this lets you do that over and over forever. It's basically the popping bubble wrap of the metal-lover world.
Begleri: Chose a random image, because this can be anything. Originally based on the komboloi, greek prayer beads that doubled as worry beads, it became trendy in greece in the 60s to make modified komboloi called begleri, with less beads, strung on one string, so that you can perform tons of rad tricks on them. They can be flipped, infinitely looped, aerialed, sprung in unexpected directions using string tension, etc. They are truly the most versatile fidget toy out there for this reason - you can use them as worry beads, or you can practice an incredibly complex history of physics-defying tricks on them. Or anywhere in between. Great for anyone who complains that "fidget toys are useless and have no point!!" - this one does, you can get good at it.
