Does anyone else /travelfig/? I usually bring a few figures with me when I travel, just to either fidget with them or take pics. If so, what figs do you take, and why did you take those specific figs/toys?

Pic related, I'm visiting my parents and I took these two figs. Personally I love the Black Series.

I slip this guy into my pocket on a few occasions so I have something to fuck around with. It's pretty durable, made of a softer plastic so I'm not worried about any damage. It's kinda fun for its size.

Fiance got the nice camera as the gift, so I settle for a shitty cell phone camera. The idea of being able to snap a quality pick on the go has always appealed to me though.

Was thinking about this.
Just bought a few 1/6 figures and will probably move out to another country in a few months. Do you guys have any experience taking your statues/toys with you in flights?

Black Series are great. I have some smaller stormtroopers (Hasbro 3.75") that I sometimes take out with me to shoot with (usually outdoors or any other cool place I happen upon). I like the size because they're small enough to fit into my pockets and have just enough articulation to be fun to mess with and pose.

I'm still fighting anxiety about shooting photos in public places of my figures. I love fig photography but I can't overcome the idea that I look like an autist doing it.

Yeah, I've taken a black series around the country with me on flights. What do you need to know?

He's pretty durable so I usually just pack him between layers of clothes in my carry-on. Checked bags get thrown around a lot so I never stick anything vaguely fragile in there unless it's really well-packed.

Only time I traveled with toys was when I moved out of the country and had to take my collection with me, it was small at that time so I didn't have problems, bubble wrapped them and that was it.

Closest I've come to traveling with figs is when I use a friend as a proxy since he never leaves home (and gives me an excuse to drive 20mins to say hi to the guy) and I gut the boxes before taking it home or when I buy the odd fig in nearby shops, ended up walking around with a titan returns transformers krok figure in my pocket.

Normally I'd transform him to better protect them but this time I just shoved his guns in his hands and the fucking thing fell off (the nub that holds the hand was poorly trimmed in the factory, or it snapped off), luckily it was hollow and make a loud crack sound as it fell or he would of lost a hand in a shopper center.

I get looks when I rip figures open in those places but I keep receipts until its pocketed.

And nah I don't take pics as I got the cheapest phone in the world with an even shittier camera
