Amazon, BBTS, wizwhatever, comic shops, etc all place their orders based on how many they think they can sell and Mezco produces enough numbers to fulfill these orders plus whatever stock they think they can sell for re-orders and other side stores/shops.
I'm a little surprised Space Ghost is selling out as much as he did, given the fact that he's no longer a popular character and has had no limelight in the past decade or longer.
It could just be people buying up his stock just because it's a One/12 figure and wanting to scalp it at a later date.
Nevermind the fact that some retailers will just up the price because of primary stores like BBTS and Amazon already selling out of their own stock.
