>>6374340JoeCon and subscriber figures have always been too expensive for me since they started them. I bought dozens to over a hundred GI Joes every year since the 25th line started, btw.
I buy SDCC stuff all the time though. Way cheaper to pay $50 for 3 figures and a diorama. That's basically $17 a figure.
And i think most people agree.
Since they started making SDCC stuff, their stuff was limited to about 5000 people. In recent years, it's much more than that.
So there aren't 3000 fans, because there's more than that buying these exclusives at SDCC.
When you consider that TRU probably puts in a minimum order of 10,000, and 50,000 units for their GI Joe exclusives is a more realistic take, you're way way lowballing how many GI Joe fans still actively exist.
Price is a very important factor.
Also, i buy Acid Rain, Lost Planet, HACKS, etc figures all the time. So those prices are my limit for 4" figures, but it's very hard to army build at those prices. So I'll spend $30 for an acid Rain or odd GI Joe Club Exclusive for cheap, but i can't afford to buy 4-10 of them like i do with $10-15 GI Joes.
