>>6395479>>6396408HIGH FIVE, my nuggah, another lover of HW's original designs. That's all that they functionally *were* to me as a kid, what kid doesn't wanna race dragon cars through loop-de-loops? I'm always baffled, then, that
>>6395667's point holds true: HW fans as a mean are such colossal nofun fuckers,
>>6404809 like the scalpers and their insane 5 am raids.
But it always felt to me like forcing something onto HW that they fundamentally weren't: yes, while I know that their production quality has changed over time, and no, I'm not ratting on people who like little classic cars and the like, I get that, too; but Matchbox and countless other high(er)-end brands, and model kits, etc., serve those ends far better, while HW has always been the outlet for crazy artistic expression in mini hotrodding, where budgets and physics are no issues.
I'unno. I do just know that the reason I still scan the HW racks is checking out whether there're any crazy new designs that catch my eye: classic cars can't do that, and even if that was what I was after, itc I'd probably just research and buy them online through hobbyists.
