This is only a good thing in my mind. Select's at their best when they're making giant-ass toys and they probably won't crumble into dust after taking them out of the box like the NECA ones.

On one hand I like the implications of the more streamlined, unified look (more advanced, better global cooperation), although, it's not like I've been spoiling myself on details to know whether these implications are valid.

On the other hand, they feel somewhat like they have less personality with these designs. In any case, I'm sure I'll appreciate them tons more once I see them finalized and in motion. There are definitely colors here >>6425728 the aren't present in the poster.

Pride, my fellow fan, pride. A lot of design features of Jaegers could've been left unbuilt, but a healthy level of pride leads to all sorts of creativity.
That aside, I could see one that reflects its pilot's body (or in the case of giant fists their fighting style) more accurately to be advantageous to an extent.
In any case we'll see just how the presentation for this one is. Hopefully it won't just be a hot bot.
