Wonder if anything's going on under that helmet, that is if it isn't just a dome on a balljoint.
I almost hope there's a fully painted Quentin Beck head under there.

What a solid set. I could easily do without girl Thor but the rest are nice. Ulik having Rhinos shoulder holes is a little annoying but that's really my only complaint.

Are there any characters that could reuse Mysterio's parts? Shocker is the only other quilt fabric costume guy I can think of, but he has a diamond pattern rather than boxes.

It's just outrageous to think that they'd make this entirely new body for a one-off release, when Cap's figure had none of the iconic chainmail.

Fuuuuuck me this is disappointing. Looks like absolute shit. Doesn't have the amazing grey/aqua color scheme from the comics or the original toy, it uses those ugly-ass tendrils from Superior Venom, doesn't have the right kind of hand OR foot claws, and worst of all, it just looks shrimpy. Well, maybe he'll at least have different feet by the time he hits the market. It's odd that they'd make Lasher first. Riot could essentially be a gray repaint of the Venom body (without even needing to do any symbol on the chest), and that would be a lot more excusable.

Also I would've preferred Scream or She-Venom or something, something that would force them into making female-proportioned symbiote claws which they could then use for all the other girl ones. They all have much more streamlined looks compared to Lasher or Phage or another Toxin.

Honestly, I think this is the real MVP. Is it a new torso mold? Thank fuck it isn't on the BuckyCap body like I feared, it seems too bulky for Reed. In other news I did find the Mantis wave in the wild for the first time yesterday. Found Rocket at GameStop. He was the only one out of the wave and I got him already so I passed. Also FYE had a bunch of legends. They had the entire Titus wave and a good deal of the Sandman wave. FYE was the only place that had Sandman around here.

This picture makes me wonder why 1:6 manufacturers make the clothes from cloth. Wouldn't something like molded silicone be immensely more detailed, with in-scale texture, molded-in color, and no seams? I'm thinking it would all be textured something like Valkyrie's armor. I think that cape should be a little closer on the back, it looks like you could slide your whole finger through the space between the curve and the back of his shoulders. Can't imagine he'll stand that well on his own unless they bring it down a little so it touches the ground.

Apparently he's got a real head under there, and I wonder if the cape and orb aren't all one piece that comes off. They didn't do that with Hobgoblin's cape and hood, but it seems like they did this time.

Ended up ordering a loose Man-Thing. I was originally gonna try and track down the whole wave but with everything Hasbro's shown off I'm gonna be hard pressed for space for everything I want and the MCU Defenders just aren't as big of a priority in comparison. Might try to see about getting a loose Bullseye at some point to go with Daredevil but otherwise I think I'm alright.

I wanted a line of Marvel Legends where the heroes were all in their classic costumes. First appearances, bright colors, classic comic versions, etc.

What I didn't want were lazy repaints of figures that come with less hands, accessories, and no BAF peice for the same price of a Legends that does come with all of that.

They coulda reused one of the newer muscular body molds for punsiher that actually has butterfly joints so he can properly hold a gun

Its the exact same headsculpt. Its just painted in a solid bone like color where as the rhino wave is semi-translucent.

I'm completely perplexed as to why they would ignore his most popular appearance though, ie comic and old toy. Many thin tendrils on his back, not these gross ropy ones. Grey and aqua/light blue color scheme. Very distinctive long narrow eyes with a fully black "mouthplate," which the new head seems to ignore.

Lasher was my favorite figure from the Planet of the Symbiotes line--his sculpt and color scheme were awesome, and he was more articulated than the others too. I've been waiting for an updated toy for over a decade and I could not possibly be more disappointed.

He was not as grey as the old toy shows, but he certainly did have a distinct pale color going down the middle of his body. Sometimes it looks like a pale green, and others it looks teal.

I could forgive the lanky body choice and the eyes if it at least had the proper colors. It's simple, but it goes a long way in representing this particular character.

Well the last Magneto we got goes for like $100 on eBay so even if it's a straight repack I'd be all for it.

Also all jokes aside there's a few characters in that picture that I wouldn't mind at all, like Sauron, Sinister and a new classic Mystique. Hell I'd actually take a Toad figure. Cameron Hodge might be interesting just to see how they handle him.

I finally got my Mantis arms. Snagged the right one on eBay and ordered Ex Nihlio from Gamestop. I also snagged Homemade suit Spidey as well. Gamestop's ML offerings have been pretty good as of late. My local one hasn't gotten anything in but I have seen the Mantis wave in other ones not as local to me.

You do not recall correctly and your logic is flawed. We rarely get villains in 6 inch period. iron Monger stands out though. Back in 2010-13 3.75 inch had tons of support and was a good line. We got Whiplash, Destroyer, Frost Giants, Red Skull, Hydra, Chitauri, Curse, Dark Elves. We got Ultron as a BAF, is that how we knew' live.....? Ego is in a two-pack. I guess you think for sure Hela lives then?

I just want a devil dino and a moonboy. Sauron, Bishop and Magneto/Vertigo show up in various savage land stories, so those are the villains/x-men I threw in.

The headswappable nekkid-ish male and female bucks are meant to alleviate shelfwarming because in theory you can army build a team of savage land inhabitants. (Or buy custom fodder)

It also prevents "But I wanted ___ in savage land costume!" because just headswap that character then.
