I remember hearing the reason there was almost no merchandising for Kubrick films was because he was dead set against it so his estate didn't sell licenses. I guess that was not true or his heirs changed their minds.

Been holding out on this guy for a while, I really want to have him next to my Kubrick DVD / Blu-Ray shelf. Is he any good? I heard Mafex is kinda shitty, but I'm totally in love with the 2001 space suits and the old 1970s dolls are probably not any better.

Words cannot describe the sheer amount of joy I am feeling right now. This has been my favorite movie for the last decade and I've always dreamed of having a 1/12th Alex.
