The AmiAmi limited run mentioned they will price him at 8000jpy but I don't know if they confirmed oversea orders will be open as well (correct me if I'm wrong) Otherwise it's up to how Mandarake and other 2nd hand stores will approach prices since attendees at WF will sell theirs at those storefronts. Expect 9k if we're lucky but 10k+ is possible

RWBY shit, obviously.
Probably an unpainted Drifters.
Gyro Second Colorway reveled, Colored Johnny w/ Tusk Act 1.
Uncolored Valentine model.
Uncolored D4C and Diego poster.
Colored Prosciutto. No Pesci model/poster but will be announced. They will reveal if they will be mass released or WF exclusive/lotto prize.

I'm hoping we get an uncolored model of D4C but I doubt it.

I'm also hoping for another side villain and other Tusks but that's probably not going to happen.

As much as I'd love to have figures for both of them, I think odds for Lucy especially are slim. Medicos seems to have an aversion to major female characters so far. Obviously we've got Jolyne, but it's pretty ridiculous that we have Trish, whose appearances in Part 5 can probably be counted on both hands, and Spice Girl who's literally used in one fight, when we don't even have Lisa Lisa, Foo Fighters, or Yasuho.

I just won a got a Crazy Diamond 2nd on YAJ and have a question about him for anyone that has him and newer versions of the Josuke SAS. I know that the alternate Josuke head included with CD 2nd doesn't fit on newer Josuke releases. Anybody try widening the peg-hole to fit newer Josukes? If so, was it difficult and how'd you go about it?

Just want to thank the guys who gave me advice a couple of threads back when my Star Platinum 3rd's torso peg came loose and needed tightening.
I ended up coating the peg in clear nail polish to make a snugger fit and it holds absolutely fine now.

I figured no one wanted to get WF CD if they had a reissue and the head didn't fit in properly, not to mention listings not saying if the Josuke's they have are the newer releases or the originals so if they wanted to pair them at checkout or from another store you're taking a chance.

I usually avoid the "packaging" fee that pops up once you've put an order down in the same page since the seller does a decent enough job packing the item by itself but that's my experience. Of course but I keep a very close eye on fees and how much they build up.

At least they have a fee breakdown feature just to see the overall cost once I want to ship something out but I'm just paranoid if they skew numbers in some way or somehow charge more but I guess that's also coming from some negative feedback from other people who bought off Buyee as a proxy.

And I've been saying this for a while but this new tactic of making exclusives first is pretty good, I'm glad the new Baoh colors are nice, makes me excited for Gyro.
I feel like this confirms this Johnny as WF exclusive too, not much to worry about since Johnny has a bunch of great colors.
By the look of Baoh, Gyro and, presumably, Johnny the exclusives will be taking the more popular widely known colors and the 2nds will be the opposite, picking more obscure and fun colors. I'm down with that, let the plebs suffer.

Honestly I've given up being mad about exclusives. I still don't like it but it's whatever, I just got my Gyro for $110 and honestly I'm satisfied. I wouldn't recommend doing it on multiple ones - I don't think they can be canceled once they go through.

Sniper bid is more useful for making sure your bid gets in. So if you think you might forget about an auction, it might be a good idea. If you plan to monitor multiple ones at once, it isn't really necessary.

Had a play around with Gyro tonight, and I'm not a happy camper. He's a pretty shitty figure by SAS standards.

First off the materials made to make him are pretty second rate. Most of him is cast in this paint-less gummy plastic which feels really soft and cheap in hand.

Mine suffered a bit of warping around his left shoulder strap, which really accentuates his oddly designed shoulder joints, which protrude out more than they should. I'll see if I can take a hair dryer to it to get it back in shape.

His head is on a peg joint as opposed to the normal ball joints, which is a bit weird, but at least you don't have to worry about snapping anything.

The hat sits on the head with a ball joint which gives it some minor articulation, but at the same time feels like it doesn't sit on his head as best as it could.

One nice thing at Wonfes is that later in the day they had a "pick up and try" sample of the new Star Platinum BIG.

He has a fair amount of heft in hand. Other than that he basically feels like an upscaled SAS. Most of the joints and movement is identical to it's smaller counterpart. Which is a good thing I guess, the original SP was a pretty solid figure.

It feels rubbery and cheaper. A good comparison is how it plays out in his hair compared to say, Diavolo, Abbaccio, or someone else with long strands. Their hair feels stiff and somewhat brittle. His is all bendy and plasticy.

Is it just me or does the paint job looks messy? Looking at the black lines (straps?) for instance. The paint looks fucking ugly compared to for instance my King Crimson or Anasui. It also looks like they hardly used any paint of his pants for instance. I see no real shading or other applications to break up the pieces that are a single color.

I've been very patient with Medicos in the past when it came to their flaws and shortcomings people would criticise them for, but this is the first time I actually thought "what the actual fuck, guys?".

I loved the sculpt on Valentine and D4C but after this I'm now actually scared for the quality of the line.

in fairness while it looks fine. It does not looks fine for a figure most people will be paying upwards of 100 plus bucks to get their hands on. If it was like 50 bucks it'd be one thing. Gyro is probably going to hit us around 7000ish yen when it's all said and done. What was the last release? Giorno? Pucci? Both of those came out at high prices. I can't remember a SAS in the last year releasing at less that $60.

Giorno an Pucci weren't event exclusive. You're better off looking at something like Baoh, though there isn't much precedent for an exclusive main character to a popular series in the SAS line. His price will probably stay around 9000-12000 until the second colorway is announced, which will either act as some relief and let the price steady out to a more reasonable one, or cause the price to stay the same or even rise depending on if it's a desirable colorway or not.

I might be in the minority here, but I'd rather wait for the possibly atrocious neon version of Gyro than cough up for the 1st version. There's something about the paint job that always looked off for me and that anon's little review of him is confirming my doubts (still kek about the hat and half baldness part). It almost feels as if it was rushed but they haven't been cranking a lot of figures in a while, so what's up?

I don't know if this is the thread to ask, but what happened to the Koichi and Okuyasu minissimos? Did they go to draft prototype limbo like the Jotaro one? I know the minissimos are nendoroid knockoffs, but I'm a sucker for chibi shit and since there's a Josuke, Rohan, and Kira versions, then why not finish the Duwang boys in order to get set done?

The issue isn't just with the paint. The figure is such a departure in production compared to past releases it's honestly like it's from a completely different line.

SAS are traditionally almost fully painted, especially the skin tones which are painted and toned.

Even the skin on this is bare plastic, with minimal paint apps like lipstick or those arm rings applied. This is basically the same has how Figma are produced and painted.

If this were a Figma I wouldn't be happy, but slightly more patient. But from what you expect in production quality from a SAS this is a shocking departure from the norm. They literally have taken some of the line's strongest qualities and abandoned them. Gyro is a SAS in name only.

He's pretty good but the one I got in had one of his hats with a broken decoration piece but barely held together by glue so be careful when swapping the hats. Overall he's pretty good and I didn't run into anything odd. Price-wise, I'd say anything in the 5k-6l+ range should be a start.

As someone with all 3 pillar men I would strongly recommend each of them. all 3 are solid figures with tons of paint, detail, and lots of cool effects and accessories. Medicos was at the top of their game around the time these guys came out. Try shooting for 4-6k on ACDC, and 5-6k on Kars and Wammu

Poor paint or joints can break easily. I know the one I have has a right leg that snapped easily and I handled both new and old SAS for some time now. Get him if you can for cheap but there's also a possibility you can find some from the normal batch. The bad ones are just a mess unless you handle it very delicately.

DIO is probably the worst due to his ugly ass knees if you ask me, besides that he's pretty decent minus the tiny head big hands situation part 3 characters have going on.
The best IMO would probably be Pucci or Diavolo, perfect sculpts, awesome articulation, breath taking paint, and really cool accessories in Pucci's side (the stand disks)

worst is either Jotaro or Josuke4. Jotaro has an awful sculpt with tiny head syndrome. if you push his head back his neck sticks out like it's broken, and his legs are pure ass to pose. Josuke has good articulation and feels really solid but his neck is ugly and his head is way too small.
My personal favorite Jojos (figure wise) are Giogio and Joseph. Joseph comes with a ton of stuff and is super solid and fun to handle. Gio has an amazing sculpt and breathtaking colors (regardless of which colorway you get) with plenty of cool accessories.

Overall I'd say the Villians are typically better than the Jojo's when it comes to the figures

Imo Phantom Blood Dio is really good. The neck looks semi retarded because of the collar, but it's a very vibrant figure that looks really nice in a decent pose. I hate black DIO yet the WF2012 DIO is most likely my favorite cause of the colour.

4taro is fairly decent, it's a better sculpt than the part 3 one and looks really nice put together with SP or just himself.

Jesus fucking Christ. When I got into this line many years ago, I was so impressed at the time I wanted to own every figure they ever produced. For the longest time it was the ONLY toyline I collected. Then shit like Black DIO happened, and the falloff in paint quality starting with Caesar 2nd, and my purchases became less and less frequent. I honestly think if this is going to be the norm, I'm cashing out. Will probably keep Joseph 2nd, old Joseph, Jot4ro and St4r Pl4tinum as they're my favourites.

I'd rather have none of the line than try to collect all of it in this sorry state, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

The "sample" I handled was an unpainted one. Its basically an upscaled SAS in that it's very similar to the original, just bigger. The issue here is that the joints are also upscaled and not really designed to compensate for the heavier joints, so it's a little bit on the floppy side in hand.

I'm guessing it won't measure up to the paintjob on their prototype either. The most off-putting thing about people's early impressions of Gyro is the possibility they're going to start using cheaper, rubberier plastic for everything going forward, and not do full paintjobs. Crying shame when I think about how good some of the older figures looked.

Maybe Giorno 2nd isn't that great paintwise, but it seemed to me Rohan 3rd, WS and Pucci were all great. Not to mention the general consensus regarding 5/6 figures being miles ahead of 3/4, 1/2 came out later and were well received too.
You seem to be disregarding years of good releases because Gyro is shit.
