Transformers- various Japanese robot lines rebranded, no "new" stuff created on their end until later in the line
My Little Pony- literally stolen from another horse/pony line another company made 1-2 years prior
Jem- Barbie ripoff, dolls copied the look of 80s glam and hair metal bands, main character name stolen from "To Kill a Mockingbird" character, rival band name stolen from real world punk band, they even stole the band name Nirvana at one point(who did exist prior to the mention in the show, believe it or not)
Inhumanoids- Lovecraft knockoffs
COPS- Robocop wannabe
most other core brands- licensed stuff or things they "obtained" by buying out other companies
