I feel like we're hitting a lull now. TR is petering out, nobody cares about TLK anymore, Takara's recent reveals were as underwhelming as possible, and PotP blew its load with the leaks and there's not much to talk about until we see some more shit.

I'm quite annoyed that Cogman got removed from TLK deluxe wave 3. We just got wave 3 on the shelves here and Hasbro has lifted their control over the prices, so stores are free to offer discounts on them.

So the Mega head with panels open is Masterforce, and the Giga head with the panels closed is MTMTE. The closed side panels should be painted, but this is pretty awesome.

I believe its when the legends line started, never saw anything with united or henkei lines.

Kinda wish mp's came with something, the first had the comparisons with older toys but now its just an explanation of the accessory gimmicks on (with most of them) a sheet of glossy paper, I miss that history of the toy thing

100%, some of the stickers are even orientated for certain ways, better get a magnifying glass, should of just used flag overlays of each of his panels rather than lines pointing towards a 3d model

Cuts were fine...unless they mean the fact the backing came off when trying to peel away from the backing sheet but that might be my tweezers at work

They do but they're VERY sensitive, if they hit the edge they will curl up, if you can't slide them up better off trimming them, peeling off and trying again will fuck them up.

I'm just glad that both molds have repaints/retools so you can own two different molds without double dipping on the same character.

I'm upset about the T30 one though, I left it in storage too long and paint transfer has happened on the helmet. I wonder if I should just strip all the yellow paint to reveal the bare beige plastic underneath.

Both tanks look cybertronian, they could fit fine on the FoC line, planes, both are nice, I like the valkyrie-ish backback on the gereations and the g1 throwback on the TR, Botmodes, TR wins easily, better feet and no shoulder issue, but most importantly for me, no huge noggin with a forced gimmick homaging a cartoon I don't care for, would take the headmaster gimmick any day over the face switching.

Still, I ended with 2 gen(second was a gift) I use them as the Blitzwing drones-clones from the intro.

But for new owners I would recommend this over cutting the springs/stuffing the legs with cardboard.

I think the deco makes it pretty clear that Takara doesn't give a shit and is ready to move on, especially with the cancellation of the other scheduled re-issues.

Not gonna lie, Overlord is one of my absolute favorite fucking TF designs. I am legit mad the US never got a figure of him back in the day, and that I only learned of his existence in the past few years.

Just putting those panels on the chest is such an obvious and simple solution that you seriously have to wonder how it didn't occur to takara.

Everything fits together pretty well, and it doesn't complicate the transformation in any way aside from it being slightly tricky to get the legs around the new wheels while transforming it (they don't extend as far out as the stock wheels for whatever reason). All the colors are a near perfect match too, you wouldn't notice unless you actively compared the colors.

My only complaint with this kit is that the right panel for Ironhide (his right) is very slightly bent and doesn't press against the body firmly. I might just glue it down or something. I'm fairly certain that's just a one in a million QC issue though.

So yeah if you ever complained about the hipskirts on this mold, this is a damn good fix for it.

Making one of the only female characters in the entire franchise into a tranny is a dumb idea no matter how you try to slice it though. No one pays attention to the original Marvel comics either when they talk about G1 TF's to boot, it's always the show, the show was the defining source.

He doesn't deserve to be crucified for his mistake, no, but he also doesn't deserve to not eat a bit of shit for it. It's probably been taken a bit too far now though, and unfortunately, a lot of comics are balls deep into SJW nonsense which is turning off readers.

Depends on the country, in the UK only season 1 was aired on terrestrial television, whereas the comic was a weekly with 300+ issues. It had consistently strong sales well past the actual toyline's shelf-life.

Bob Budiansky created most of the names, personalities, and wrote the comics that Furman worked around for in UK and followed in the US comics. Bob wanted to make Ratchet fembot, Hasbro told him there was no female tfs. Since Furman worked off of Bob's notes, being told there were no fembot in G1, it makes sense that is Furman's default. And Furman said he wanted to do something different than just have fembots in IDW, so came up with the trans idea. Later it became a hot topic that crucified him.

A good option would be a compromise. The Quintessons made the Transformers on Cybertron, but there is the possibility they didn't realize Primus was working through them.

There has been multiple fan attempts at reconciling these origins (years before Aligned came around). Almost all of them iirc revolve around Primus being the one true creator and Quintessons being his unwilling pawns. It's a reflection I think to people's christfag sensibilities.

There were also weird flips where hitting a girl in cartoons would be serious taboo while comics it was just Tuesday, but 80s TV had no issue of a girl being magically disabled like a robot while in comics that shit was a serious no no.
