The animation was ostentatious, the music grandiose but so empty (I mean, christ, Frozen's only legit-good song was "Beware the Frozen Heart"), its message was kinda hollow and the whole "true love" twist felt kinda dumb in light of, y'know, Lilo and Stitch and the whole "ohana" thing.

Sure, Try Eveything is pretty generic, but Disney music is pretty much empty carbs by default. You can count the ones that *aren't* on one hand ("Gaston", "Hellfire", "Perfect World", "You Ain't Never Had A Friend Like Me"), and those songs succeed because the people doing them were badass. Those are super-easy to screw up in covers.
