But the truth of the matter is, they really have gotten better over the years. The paint is still not the greatest thing ever, but it is far better than it used to be. And most of any of the ones I'd ever want are all things like weird aliens and robots and monsters and stuff, and sometimes the heads, faces, and overall sculpts on them actually can look pretty nice. Still don't generally like the look of "regular humans" in the line.
Most people end up starting in because of the sheer number of licenses they have, as has been mentioned time and time again. Even if someone hates them, it seems like inevitably they'll end up making a couple for characters that either no one else has ever done, or no one else will ever do.
At this point in time, they're really not so different from any other vinyl collectible, so outside of the stupid faces some of them have, the beef would mainly be if you find vinyl collectibles in general to be cancerous.
