Back in those days, the prices were fairly reasonable, and though the articulation wasn't up to par with its contemporaries, I thought the figures looked pretty alright. The sculpts were kinda charming even, this is before they became leggy monstrosities packed with so much fucking detail you can't tell what you're looking at. It's a real shame to see how far they fell since then.
